Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts

People who are wrong are just as sure they're right as people who are right. The only difference is, they're wrong.

While today he is best remembered for his accomplishments in science and mathematics, during his lifetime Rene Descartes was well know for his love of the ladies, especially those of ... shall we say, 'negotiable virtue'. Fortunately his friends were able to keep this under wraps and took great pains in keeping him away from most sources of potential trouble, to the point that, almost four centuries later, hardly anyone is aware of his libertine ways and pursuits.
But even today, we still have an old saying that acknowledges Rene's problematic relationships with loose women, when a person is reminded "not to put Descartes before the whores."

I very small amount of interweb sleuthing finds that the Shack of Sit is a real furniture store in Levin New Zealand.
New Zealand must be a really fun loving place. Look who their Prime Minister is. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jacinda_Ardern Could an unmarried, although not single, mother of one be elected to such a high office here? Rock on Jacinda!

Rene Descartes walks into a bar and orders a drink. When he finishes his drink, the bartender asks him if he would like another. Descartes replies, “No, I think not,” and disappears in a puff of logic.
