COBRA is a federal law, and it was modified under ARRA to provide temporary subsidy to those who have lost their jobs.
Thanks for the info and good to hear from you AndyH after all this time. Tell your friend he is not alone. I am doing iop three days a week along with AA meetings every evening and usually twice on saturdays and sundays although this past weekend was so nice I did yardwork all day and only went at night.
Again
Good to see you around again.
I am thiking of creating a thread about my alocholism and my life with and without alcohol. Anyone interested in it? I will be doing it regardless as a memiour/journal on my own and would just cut and paste it here if you people care to read it.
Couple of questions
Would you read it?
If so, which sub forum should I put it in?
I am thiking of calling it "oldr_n_wsr's alcoholic adventure".
Thanks
I'd read it. I'd say put it in Lifestyle or All Our Own Work. Or, depending on your approach, maybe Laffs? Philosophy & Religion? The Arts (of living)? Would probably work most anywhere.
Of course I'd read it My vote is All our own works. Although, I don't know what they told you in AA, but you have to be careful what you tell some people-
I think the audience here would be supportive; however, life is rife with triggers, as I'm sure you are learning in AA - and every setting provides opportunities for dealing with triggers using the new strategies you are developing.
Glad you are sober today, and keeping you in my thoughts.
hugs,

For me, it is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring.

Although, I don't know what they told you in AA, but you have to be careful what you tell some people-
What you see and hear in AA, stays in AA so I will try and avoid anyone elses stories although I may give an overall theme that went on in those meetings. I am allowed to reveal anything about me I chooe to even if it has been presented in an AA meeting.
Looking forward to putting "pen to paper" so to say. This isn't my original idea, a guy at one of my meetings mentioned he had been keeping a journal and at times adds pieces from his past. Don't know how to "form" what I'll be writing, might end up as a stream of (un)conciousness.
Please do consider "All our own work" a place where you can blog your experiences, and please post there as much as you see fit.
I'd be fascinated to hear your experience and progress, and I'm sure, (as I do with the blog on our website,) going back and reflecting on events can be a good source of insights.
