The route for the 109th running of the Tour de France has been released. For 2022, Denmark — which was scheduled to have been the venue for the start of the 2021 Tour until it was rescheduled to avoid conflicts with the rescheduled Summer Olympic games — will host the prologue time trial in Copenhagen (July 2nd) and the first two days' stages (July 3 and 4)
before the race relocates to Dunkerque for the start of the third stage on July 5th.
After that, the cavalcade moves east, running clockwise through the Alps and the Pyrenees (including finishes on the Alpe de Huez and the Hautacam) — and completely ignoring the western third of the country — before the train ride to Paris for the triumphal entry into the city and the traditional finish on the cobblestones of the Champs d'Elysee. -"BB"-
Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?
For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts
Pretty enough song, Meade, and she's not all that unpleasant to look at, but apart from the fact that the lyrics are in French, what's it got to do with the Tour de France topic? -"BB"-

I have been reading the mystery novels of Louise Penny. Most of the action is in Quebec. Most of the cussin' is in French and I don't translate it.
But it seems to relate to 'the church' rather than sex and body functions like us 'mercans' do it.
Brings new meaning to the nearly obsolete phrase 'excuse my French. . .'
But back to the main topic--that map sure does look empty of most of France. I suppose the early route could be filled with tricky, slick cobblestones.
Maybe cat five climb over a bridge.
I'm with Meade on the TDF, but phwooaaar eh? Eh?!?!?
“If you trust in yourself, and believe in your dreams, and follow your star. . . you'll still get beaten by people who spent their time working hard and learning things and weren't so lazy.”
You don't follow competitive cycling. In recent times they have had men's world road championships, womens world road championships Jr world champions and set many world records. For a country of 6 million they have us outclassed by orders of magnitude.
Bjarne Riis won a tdf but admitted doping making him the moral if not athletic superior of Lance and Floyd Landis.
Cycling is more crooked than horse racing ever dreamed of being.
Sorry, can’t buy that assertion. The bicyclists are not enslaved nor forced to take performance enhancing drugs or compete while injured against their will.
Any ‘sport’ that exploits animals is fundamentally corrupt.
For me, it is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring.
