An aspiring actor got an 'amazing' surprise when actor Sir Ian McKellen asked to hang out with her.
Model Millie, 17, who is a Down's syndrome activist, took a snap of herself outside the Theatre Royal in Windsor after watching her acting hero Sir Ian McKellen, 82, perform in The Cherry Orchard at Theatre Royal Windsor.
After seeing the post, the Lord of the Rings star reached out to Millie's dad to ask if she could give him a tour of her hometown.
The pair spent four and a half hours together and enjoyed eating fudge, drinking coffee, watching the changing of the guards and dining at Millie's favourite restaurant - and he even visited her family home and met her dog, Lola.
In an Instagram post, Millie Anna penned: 'Ian saw my post when we went to see 'The Cherry Orchard' at the theatre in Windsor.
'He messaged me to ask if I'd like to show him around town. I was so excited! We had such a fun time, we talked and laughed as we went to all my favourite places. I'm so lucky he chose me to be his tour guide - it was just the best day ever.

Of course, someone who subscribes to the "all males are sexist scum" theory (I won't name names or point any fingers) could also spin this as an elderly man perving on a vulnerable young female.

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

Thank you, Gob. I was hoping someone would recognize the sarcasm in my post. You did, and posted back a reply that was almost word-for-word what I would have said.
