2I knew one guy in Montana who blew his head off with a shotgun out on the prairie, in a cut bank. Much nicer for the loved ones and a nice place to be in the final moments.
You knew him, and he blew his head off.   Cause and effect, perhaps?

Meh...a shotgun and a 00 round is a lot cheaper.
You’ve clearly never known someone who attempted to blow their brains out, but failed. There ARE fates worse than death.

Allow me to post from personal experience. If you are thinking of ending your own life -- DO NOT DO IT ! Particularly do not do it with a firearm in a situation where one who knows you will find your remains. It hits those left behind with a terrible emotional load of why's and what ifs and I shudda's
Perhaps that is what you really intend but that is a legacy of cruelty.

If you must, talk it over with your friends and family before you do it. Don't skip out with just a letter of explanation(or none) left behind. Actually this coffin with an asphyxiation gas source connected seems to me to be better than hanging, a gun, poison, auto crash or any of the other ways that have been used more often.

Not for 20-25 years or so. By then, I expect to be in a wheelchair, an advancing state of senility, or both.

60, actually. I plan to eat a shotgun on my 60th birthday.
25 years.... your wife is going to have to get back her deposit on the fireworks and the brass band for the party she was going to throw.

Does your wife know your plans for your 60th birthday or is it going to be a surprise? Will there be a YouTube video?

Anyway, all morbid joking aside, unless you have a terminal illness, I hope you change your mind. 60 is the new 40. Although 60 is an older 40. On second thought, 60 is more like a new 59 but the older I get the younger 60 seems to be.

Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem.

Your collective inability to acknowledge this obvious truth makes you all look like fools.

Sometimes; and other times it's a graceful exit to avoid months or years of intolerable "living" followed by the same end.

Yes, she knows. By 60, I would not be surprised to be in an advancing state of senility.
