I decided to log on to Facebook, which I don’t do often and got a message that I’m blocked because I “used it too fast” and abused their policy. Now I can’t even get to the login screen.
That’s weird. Anybody here ever heard of this? I’m on my iPhone now and will check again on my laptop when I get home. I really don’t care if I am blocked but would like to understand why.
I haven’t insulted Zuckerberg yet so I can’t figure out what happened.
ETA: copy of message- “It looks like you were misusing this feature by going too fast. You’ve been temporarily blocked from using it.”
Speeding Ticket on Facebook

Never heard of that, you been hacked? Try changing your password.
“If you trust in yourself, and believe in your dreams, and follow your star. . . you'll still get beaten by people who spent their time working hard and learning things and weren't so lazy.”
Re: Speeding Ticket on Facebook
I googled it; this link discusses it:
https://blog.sonlet.com/2017/02/faceboo ... error.html. It looks like it is a temporary suspension, but I understand it is frustrating. I recall one of my friends got banned from FB without any reason given (and I seriously doubt it is because of content). I figure it's just not worth it.

I read the link above and I really like Tip 3: One easy way to avoid the “going too fast” error is not to post at all.
Sounds good to me. I don't do anything with facebook and they have never banned me or sent and error message.
snailgate.

Re: Speeding Ticket on Facebook
For the record, I wasn't posting at Facebook when I received that speeding message. It seems like it was some sort of glitch on my phone because I don't recall if I've ever logged on to Facebook on my iPhone until I tried yesterday.
Here on my laptop Facebook works the same as always. Not that I use it much. I mostly use it to view Gob's photographs and read some of his and Meade's posts. Once in a great while I'll write something but I'm not really a Facebook participant.
