According to the link to 'Absurdle' in Guinevere's post at 8:52 PM on Jan 23rd,
So. since there are only 2315 available words and today was day 219, this means that there are only 2096 words left unused. Since we're using them up at the rate of one per day, it is an indisputable fact that (unless the creator expands the list beforehand) the last word will be in play on October 20, 2027. After that, 'Wordle' will join things like Ask Jeeves, ICQ, MySpace, Netscape Navigator, Tripod, and the Hampster Dance (and that's not a typo on my part; it was spelled with a 'P') as just one more "do you remember when...?" item in the dustbin of internet history.

I've done a little checking and have found several other sites that confirm that fact, including one site that not only confirms the number but purports to list all of the 2315 words in play as well. There are actually two word lists in Wordle: one is a list of 2,315 words which can appear as answers, and the other is a list of 10,657 rather more obscure words which are allowed as guesses but will never appear as answers.

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

I got today’s in 3 tries and was declared “ impressive “. I haven’t figured out how to post the little picture of my successes and failures.

Once you are successful this (or, to be more precise, your version of this with your details) pops up on your screen. Put your cursor on 'Share' and click and the little histogram from today's puzzle saves to your clipboard. Come here and Paste (Control C on a PC; Command C on a Mac; I don't know how you paste on a phone) and Bob's your uncle. Or your auntie if you came here from another thread.

Correction: Paste is Control or Command V (not C) of course: the C is for copy.
