Here is a nice uplifting story about a possible cure for leukemia:

For me, it is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring.

Was it President Richard Nixon that started this effort? Liberals hated Nixon, so they should hate those things he achieved.
Soon, I’ll post my farewell message. The end is starting to get close. There are many misconceptions about me, and before I go, to live with my ancestors on the steppes, I want to set the record straight.

Yep, I'm sure he was standing the labs running experiments and creating formulations. But, FWIW, why would your assertion make any sense; I detested Trump but have taken the covid 19 vaccines the government, of which he was the chief executive, aided in the development of. And, even closer, there are a number of scientists and innovators from Thomas Edison to Henry Ford to Elon Musk I pretty much cannot stand, but I use things they participated in the achievement of--why shouldn't I? If they didn't want to offer them to the public, they could have done so--but when they chose to offer them, and reap the benefits of the patent system and public investment, the innovations became available to all.
Hell, were you a nazi supporter who cheered the development of V1 and V2 rockets; if not, do you think NASA shoudl have rejected the technology--not to mention von Braun. Unlike you, I don't judge everything from a prism of party politics; indeed, if I could only accept the achievements of politicians I respected and supported, I'd have very little to accept.

We had a discussion very similar to this back in October about certain types of medical findings — see here — and the general consensus then was that somehow, because of how it was gathered and who gathered it, the data was tainted and should not be used. I might add that I don't think anyone denied the accuracy or comprehensiveness of the data; it was tainted merely by its association with the loathsome people who amassed it.Big RR wrote: ↑Thu Feb 03, 2022 7:39 pm... But I guess there might be a difference because the V-2 was a weapon. We won the war, and the weapon therefore was a part of "the spoils of war" and became ours by right of conquest. At least that's near as I can figure it, anyway.

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

Or if we didn't take the technology, the Russians would.
