Mass Stabbing in Canada
Re: Mass Stabbing in Canada
Imagine the death toll if they’d been wielding AR-15s.

They could have gotten them if they had wanted automatic firearms; it's not like the Canadian border is sealed. I believe no law prevents a Canadian from buying a gun in the United States; even it was, there's a way around it.
Soon, I’ll post my farewell message. The end is starting to get close. There are many misconceptions about me, and before I go, to live with my ancestors on the steppes, I want to set the record straight.

Re: Mass Stabbing in Canada
There are plenty of laws against firearms in Canada - all have to be registered including hinting rifles and shotguns and AR-15s and the like are banned.
As lib says it's easy enough to break the law by going across to the US and pretending be some sort of American and buying a weapon of pretty much any type. Saskatchewan borders on ND and MN where gun laws are fairly lax. Concealed carry OK and all that.
But, as lib suggests, the laws are pretty easy to break. So let's not bother with laws about rape, murder, theft, speeding etc because lots of people do these things and there are clearly ways around them.

I like the idea of a hinting rifle. You just go into the bank with a billiard cue in a case and say to the guy behind the counter: "You get three guesses what this is and if you don't give me all the money I will be shooting some balls with it" - could be very effective.

People who are wrong are just as sure they're right as people who are right. The only difference is, they're wrong.

I don't mind people driving without lights as much as I detest those rednecks with their jacked-up 4X4 pickup trucks coming at me with four headlights — all on high beam, an aftermarket LED light bar, and God only knows what else, putting out more light than the searchlights they used in London to try to spotlight German bombers during the Blitz in WWII.

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?
Re: Mass Stabbing in Canada
One of my biggest pet peeves when it comes to driving are people who disable the daytime running lights on later model vehicles and then fail to turn on any lights in low visibility driving conditions like snow or rain or fog, or twilight when the law says they should be on but some idiots think they have super powers and can be seen in low light conditions without headlamps.
Seriously these fools get other people killed driving around like that. Here it’s the law that wipers on means lights on, but so many refuse to follow the law.
Honestly it’s in my top three, my top one being fucking tailgaters and motherfucking aggressive tailgaters.

Are you sure that's politically correct?
For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts

I've never seen that, most of them are just driving; but I did see a couple engaging in what appeared to be oral sex. I guess the tailgating enhance the pleasure?fucking tailgaters

Yes, I have an objection to the running lights that came as part of the package when I bought my 2018 Toyota Corolla.
They are white led and quite nicely visible in the daylight. They are different from the parking lights and the headlights. Delaware Law says headlights must be on when your windshield wipers are on. OK, I think it's is a good idea. And DE cops generally acceptcthe running lights as meeting the standard for lites required with wipers. But unless I turn on my headlights, there is nothing beyond the brake lites visible in the back! This afternoon I was driving on a four lane divided toll road in DE. (DE Rt One, main route North-South the length of the state) Lots of traffic. Posted speed limit 65, generally every body running 70. Continuous lite to heavy rain. Mist thrown up around all vehicles made the ones without lights on nearly invisible. I needed the tail lights to see the cars in front of me, going the same direction. Headlites just did not do it.

Back to the main topic ...

So I guess that means there are no such thing as bad people, only sick or stoned ones.Canadian police arrested 32-year-old Myles Sanderson on Wednesday in the stabbing deaths of 10 people in Saskatchewan after a three-day manhunt that also yielded the body of his brother. The fugitive’s brother and fellow suspect, 30-year-old Damien Sanderson, was found dead Monday near the stabbing sites. Police are investigating whether Myles Sanderson killed his brother.
The stabbing rampage raised questions of why Myles Sanderson — an ex-con with 59 convictions and a long history of shocking violence — was out on the streets in the first place. He was released by a parole board in February while serving a sentence of over four years on charges that included assault and robbery. But he had been wanted by police since May, apparently for violating the terms of his release, though the details were not immediately clear.
His long and lurid rap sheet also showed that seven years ago, he attacked and stabbed one of the victims killed in the weekend rampage, according to court records. Court documents said Sanderson attacked his in-laws, Earl Burns and Joyce Burns, in 2015, knifing Earl Jones repeatedly and wounding Joyce Burns. He later pleaded guilty to assault and threatening Earl Burns’ life.
Many of Sanderson's crimes were committed when he was intoxicated, according to court records. He told parole officials at one point that substance use made him out of his mind. Records showed he repeatedly violated court orders barring him from drinking or using drugs.

I was just reading the updated stories on this incident. As someone who has worked and lived with plains Indians, I am really heartsick over this story. These reservations are sparsely populated as is and everyone is everyone’s relation. This many people killed in one incident is beyond horrific - and they are still searching the fields for more victims. Whatever is wrong with this young man, he has created so much pain in that community and there will most certainly be more deaths that come from it.
Thank goodness he didn’t have a high capacity firearm to channel his rage.
