John Crace is never worth reading. He's a childish twat.

Any defense of Liz’s handling of the UK economy at present?

We could go line by line through his piece and you can tell me where he is being childish or twattish (that's a weird insult so maybe we can find another word without the sexist baggage) or berkish. But let's start with the tagline to the piece with may well have been penned by Guardian subeditors - don't know:
Robotic PM displayed zero awareness in radio interviews of the damage she has done
Robotic - well we knew that from her pre-PM pronouncements on cheese and pork - you need only go 30 seconds into it.

Zero awareness of the damage caused - well here we go. 9 minutes of unthinking chaos.. Of course she talks about the economic disasters she inherited when she moved into Downing Street. Little detail here: Tory governments of which, for several years, Ms Truss was a prominent part, for the prior twelve-plus years. So the economic situation was caused by David Cameron (no argument from me on that one) and Teresa May and Boris Johnson (again, no dissent from me) ably assisted by Ms Truss.

Reductio ad absurdem. To go through one article to pick out his childishness would be to deny the rest of the volume of his "work". The man's a childish twat. To pick out some lines where he may be in the right, does not justify or validate the rest of his scrawling.

I'm no fan of Truss or her chancellor, cannot stand the wankers. I'd have preferred Sunak. But Crace offers no hope, no alternative or any insights worth a candle.

Not if she manages to hang on - George Canning was PM for 119 days in 1827 and died in office. But I think Ms Truss will obliterate that record.

It seems that we are getting nearer and nearer to the political demise of Ms Truss. Now a senior Tory MP is calling for her removal.

In case you think that the US has the monopoly of daft and dangerous politicians (I refer of course to Marjorie 'Jewish Space Lasers' Greene, Lauren 'Can't run a restaurant' Boebert and Louie 'Let's just move the moon' Gohmert) we have our own in the UK. Thérèse Coffey is Health Secretary, and she has been telling stories about how she shared an antibiotic with a friend. Anyone with a double digit IQ knows that you do not do that because an uncompleted antibiotic regime (a) is ineffective and (b) leads to evolution of antibiotic-resistant super-bugs. And this woman is in charge of the NHS!!!

Bye bye, Liz. Yes the Tories have had three female prime ministers, none of them amounting to a shining example of women in leadership roles.

They were far better than all the female presidents you've had. And not relegated to being "first lady" either, (how patronising is that?)

Fourth to come? Mordant? Braverman?

Ms Truss - who took office 44 days ago - will become the shortest-serving PM in British history when she stands down.

Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer called for an immediate general election following Ms Truss's resignation speech.

In her speech, Ms Truss said she entered "office at a time of great economic and international instability", as war rages in Ukraine and living costs skyrocket.

But her resignation comes after a key minister, former home secretary Suella Braverman, quit and Tory MPs rebelled in a chaotic parliamentary vote.

Assuming you pay attention to details, you might recall that a very clear majority of our voting population chose a very capable woman for president in 2016. Trump won only because of our idiotic electoral college system which is widely reviled by our voting population but very difficult to overcome - state initiatives are in the works to do so.

In the UK, a political elite minority has chosen two entirely unremarkable and under qualified women for PM and one somewhat remarkable but also largely under qualified at time of election (compared to Clinton) female PM who was also misogynistic in her attitudes toward her fellow women. It says something that those few inside the system would intentionally choose weak female politicians or misogynistic female politicians as candidates to front their party. It gives rise to suspicions of nefarious motives.

When I listened to BBC on my radio before sleeping last nite (about 1030pm) I heard a report that the PM was absolutely staying on and preparing for the next election.

This morning I get up headline on my computer that the PM has announce she is resigning.

BSG, you realise you diss women's ability to play politics by ascribing their "success" to men? Thatcher was eminently qualified, having been an MP since 1959 with four years in government as Secretary of State for Education and Science 1970-74. She then beat PM Ted Heath and his anointed successor Willie Whitelaw in the race to become leader of the Conservative Party in 1975. She led the opposition until 1979 when she became PM - her rightful position as leader of the Tories and them winning the majority and all that.

Against that, Ms H R Clinton's qualification for high office was wife of a President. (Yes, yes more than that I know. Just being catty. And I voted for her)

Thatcher was nowhere near as qualified as Clinton at time of election. After election Thatcher proved herself to be a cunt who didn’t care about the working classes of the UK and she will ever be remembered as such.

Face it the Tories dragged the UK into Brexit and Brexit is destroying the UK economy especially given the pandemic and the war in Europe and no excuses the masterminds of Brexit should have realized it had to work under any/all circumstances but it’s just not possible for it to produce the rewards promised and no PM can make it so. The Tories fucked the working people of the UK yet again, at least they are consistently consistent.

This morning when I went onto the Guardian, the PM's office was saying: No plans for any change. The prime minister will continue beyond the 31st.

My text to my daughter on Monday: I don't think she will last until the weekend.

King Charles III a week ago: Oh dear oh dear.

Queen Elizabeth 6 September: Fuck this for a game of tin soldiers. I'm off. Charles can have this one.
