I'm quite proud of this

Post by ex-khobar Andy »

Daily Mail (yes, yes, I know) reports on a Canadian study in the American Journal of Medicine of 6600 traffic accidents in 2021 in Ontario. Drivers who had not received a Covid shot were disproportionately represented, and their conclusion was that not having a Covid shot meant that you were 70% more likely to be in a traffic accident. And added that "The observed risks might also justify changes to driver insurance policies in the future."

I read through the paper. It's online. And I made this comment
Well I skimmed the paper. I've not repeated the statistical work - not enough data - but p<0.001 is pretty convincing. The authors themselves point out that correlation is not causation and speculate - and they acknowledge that it's speculation - reasons which are beyond the scope of the study. It looks pretty good to me and it is worth following up. We charge teenagers higher insurance rates because it has been demonstrated many times that as a group they are more susceptible to accidents. If further research confirmed these results it would not surprise me if insurance companies price their products accordingly, and I could not blame them.
I am very proud to announce that if you sort the article comments by 'Worst Comment' , Andrew from Louisville tops the pile with 1 upvote (not me) and 37 down votes. I must be doing something right if I can piss off so many Daily Mail readers.

Well done that man! Good job you didn't publish this in the USA! Objectors are better armed here
For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts

Congratulations, Andy!

I read online that many people with COVID sneeze a lot. So, I believe that many unvaccinated drivers are likely to have COVID and will sneeze, which causes them to shut their eyes briefly and crash into other people.

That's all the science I need to be convinced of unvaccinated for COVID drivers being 70% more dangerous than us pro-vaxxers.

Also, anti-COVID vaccine-less people's automobile insurance should cost them 70% more than pro-COVID vaccinated drivers.
