Texas governor threatens Trump with doctors
"One thing that we can observe very easily and that is there has been a dramatic increase in the amount of anger and violence that's taking place in America. And what Texas is doing in a big-time way, we are working to address that anger and violence by going to its root cause, which is addressing the mental health problems behind it."
For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts

Re: Texas governor threatens Trump with doctors
This is may be the most cynical, despicable lie Greg Abbott has told in a political career already extraordinary for its mendacity. Apart from the fact that it is patently absurd to blame the "dramatic increase in the amount of anger and violence that's taking place in America" on "mental health problems," what exactly has Texas actually done to address it? It's been just about a year since the Uvalde schoolhouse massacre when Abbott said the state needed to "do a better job with mental health" — which was a month after he had cut $211 million from the funding of the state agency that oversees mental health programs and less than a year after the state loosened its already lax gun laws even further. What has he done? Texas continues to refuse Medicaid expansion that would give the state $5 billion a year to provide medical coverage including mental health services. What is he doing? Also during Abbott's tenure? The El Paso Walmart massacre, the Midland-Odessa mass shooting, the Sutherland Springs church shooting, the Santa Fe High School shooting, and the shooting of police officers at a BLM demonstration (where they sent a robot into a parking garage to kill the shooter with a bomb). Not to mention last week's murder of five family members by a neighbor enraged by their request to stop shooting his AR-15 late at night. WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK IS THE "BIG-TIME WAY" TEXAS IS "ADDRESSING THE MENTAL HEALTH PROBLEMS BEHIND IT"????MajGenl.Meade wrote: ↑Sun May 07, 2023 9:20 pm"One thing that we can observe very easily and that is there has been a dramatic increase in the amount of anger and violence that's taking place in America. Greg Abbott, Texas Republicans specifically and the national GOP generally are giving hypocrites a bad name.
Too many guns too readily available to too many people. The problem is the guns.
GAH!
