Re: Hunter Biden guilty
By the way, wasn't the donkey named Hosanna? That was the name people were yelling.

Re: Hunter Biden guilty
As I recall it from JC Superstar (the actual documentary movie), it was Zanna. They kept trying to attract the donkey's attention by chanting "Ho Zanna, Hey Zanna, Zanna, Zanna, Ho Zanna, Hey Superstar"

Well, at least for the New Testament.

I think my son has an excellent excuse; he has Down syndrome. He has never hurt anyone and he's a more kind and sweeter person than anybody on this site.Bicycle Bill wrote: ↑Wed Jun 12, 2024 4:28 amOn what evidence do you base that scurrilous claim?
And just saying — If that were to be the case, then at least he's got an excuse, flimsy as it may be. What has your boy have to fall back and hide behind other than the fact that he's bug-fuggin' nuts?

I expected to be placed in an air force combat position such as security police, forward air control, pararescue or E.O.D. I would have liked dog handler. I had heard about the dog Nemo and was highly impressed. “SFB” is sad I didn’t end up in E.O.D.

The 'your boy' I was referring to was the dude who was just convicted of thirty-odd felonies but still thinks he belongs in the White House — Donald Bug-Fugging Nutz Trump.liberty wrote: ↑Fri Jun 14, 2024 3:30 amI think my son has an excellent excuse; he has Down syndrome. Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

Re: Hunter Biden guilty
See alot of words posted about Trump recently saying he has a gun in his home in Florida. Now that he is a convicted felon, federal gun laws say he cannot possess a gun. So he should be charged with THAT felony. The rule about felons not having a gun goes into effect automatically on conviction, not when sentenced. BUT the usual reaction is that cops comer and confiscate the gun(s) Hunter Biden only had his for a few days -- other family members took it away and threw it in the trash.
Would that the Donald's family would do something similar.

They may; or they may just say they did let him keep the gun. Or maybe he'll just say he no longer has the gun (or that he never had one).Would that the Donald's family would do something similar.
ETA: personally, I think it is pretty stupid that a person convicted of a nonviolent felony can lose the right to own a firearm, but it appears to be the law so he should have to comply. Of course, under my analysis, Al Capone wold also retain the right to own a gun after his income tax evasion conviction, so nothing is perfect.

It won't mean anything (I'm sure Joe will pardon him), but I'm glad he got convicted-his guilt was plainly obvious.

Re: Hunter Biden guilty
Why are you sure that President Biden will pardon his son, despite saying more than once that he will do no such thing?
Judging Biden by Trump standards I suppose.

Re: Hunter Biden guilty
I would hope he has that integrity, but wonder what would happen if he loses. Lame duck presidents pardoning their cronies (and family) is fairly common), and Biden is pretty much at the end of his political career if he loses. FWIW, my guess is that, win or lose, he will also pardon Trump, ostensibly to save the country from future heartache (in reality--who knows but I have a pretty good idea), but I hope he retains the integrity not to do that either.

Not sure what you mean by that Jarl.
Re: Hunter Biden guilty
Perhaps in the broadest sense of the word, but the term is usually applied to a person who remains in office after a successor is elected, not a person in their last term. Face it, during his tenure he will have the responsibility not to screw it up for the next democratic nominee, but this evaporates once the next president is elected.
