Lasers were once considered a huge scientific breakthrough.
Now we use them to play with cats.
Computers, likewise, were once considered a huge technological advance.
Now we use them to look at pictures of cats.
The obvious and logical conclusion is that science and technology exists chiefly for the pleasure and benefit of cats.
