Trump shot at Pennsylvania Rally

Post by Burning Petard »

Well, maybe. The tv news coverage with the camera straight ahead on Trump, shows him swatting at the right side of his head, then ducking down below the podium. The news shot also showed the typical big crowd of people directly behind Trump. Yet strangely, what ever it was that caused the reaction by Trump -- NONE of the people behind him were injured by anything.

My cynical default position says it is fake, a set up. Also interesting, as the tv cameras tried to cover the action as it developed, there were some shots that showed the grandstand and seating area around the speaker's stand. Actually a pretty small crowd.

Developing news. Details later.

They should find whoever it was and throw the person in jail for being a lousy shot.

Looking replay of the event, Triump was looking to his right when the contact happened. If it was a gunshot, It would have been from the viewers left and the trajectory of the projectile, parallel to the speaker's stand, could have continued off into the distance to the right, hitting nothing for a pretty good way. The reporters say they heard several shots, but sound does weird things bouncing around.

In 1912, Teddy Roosevelt was shot at a rally as he was running for president. With a bullet in his chest he delivered his speech and then went to the hospital. Teddy did not win the election. I can only hope event today will not turn Trump in to a heroic victim.

It’s awful. One of his suckers/losers is dead and another in critical condition. I don’t say it that way to be funny but to point to the sick fucking irony of all this.

And he slimes away on his bone spurs just needing a bandaid.

How long will it be before we hear Trump say, "I took that bullet for you"?

CBS reports the Secret Service killed the shooter.

I think I should probably send screenshots of this thread to the Secret Service and FBI.

Those bone spurs sure didn't seem to slow him down when he ducked for cover.   He showed better form as he dived under the podium than Greg Louganis ever did in an Olympics competition.

And reports now say the alleged shooter was killed as well.   Surprise, surprise!!   Just like Lee Harvey and Jack Ruby, he won't be making any embarrassing statements about who ordered this half-assed 'hit' and why it was timed for just before the GQP Convention in Suds City, Wisconsin.

They are reporting that the shots came from outside the area of the rally; so the shooter (apparently shot dead) would not have gone through metal detectors. PA is a concealed carry permit state. He was maybe on a rooftop outside the area- I assumed that they had bullet-proof glass protecting the speaker from those sort of vantage points which they could not police. Biden seems to have made a strong statement - good for him - that such violence has no place in politics and that he (Biden) had tried to reach "Donald" to wish him well.

From what I understand watching the video several times and hearing accounts of eye witnesses right behind Trump, he turned his head just as he was shot in the ear.

So the shooter probably had excellent aim.

Headshots are incredibly difficult, which is why law enforcement always goes for center mass.

Reports coming out from eyewitnesses are pointing to a major cop/secret service perimeter security fail.

Yeah, I saw two separate interviews with rally attendees who claim they saw a guy climbing with a rifle onto a roof. One of them said he and others told police about it and they were ignored.

I'm going to go to hell for thoughts like this for sure — but when I first heard of this, the mantra about how "The only thing it takes to stop a bad guy is one good guy with a gun... " immediately came to mind, and I wondered how the good guy with the gun had managed to get it past security.

On TV it was said the shooter was outside of the event center (fairgrounds) so there may not have been any type of security check point where he was located. The problem is that the secret service and local law enforcement should have had all potential sniper areas under surveillance. Somebody screwed up.

Well, I can see it wasn't Shit Head; let me take that back it wasn't Shit Head who was the shooter, but it still could have been part of the support team. That shot was very close; a little bit of wind one way or the other could have made all the difference. Donald Trump is one lucky man.
I expected to be placed in an air force combat position such as security police, forward air control, pararescue or E.O.D. I would have liked dog handler. I had heard about the dog Nemo and was highly impressed. “SFB” is sad I didn’t end up in E.O.D.

It appears that Trump's first words after being shot were, "I need my shoe!"

I suspect that after his ear was grazed, something was ejected from his butt and landed in one of his shoes, rendering it uninhabitable.

I don't know where he is but he is claiming that the shooter didn't pull the trigger.
