Among other assorted waste of time and energy found on the interwebs today, there was the earth shattering revelation that Kamala Harris is descended from, wait for it...
SLAVEOWNERS!!!!
This was apparently part of an effort to show that her origins were far less modest than she has claimed, i.e., that she comes from a wealthy family.
Did no one bother to teach these subdefectives how slavery worked, that they would attempt to use the fact that (at least) one of Harris's ancestors was raped by her master as evidence of her privilege?
I seriously weep for the future of your country.

And more - Harris is being called "elitist" because, while she lived in Montreal with her mother and sister, she attended - gasp - a public high school!!

Elitist? Just what does that word mean? The context in which the Trumpers use it sort of reveals its meaning for them--But why did they approve such a person as their Vice-presidential candidate?
Against elitist leadership? Then why do they not promote a random/lottery process for selecting the leader?
Actually, even if she did have some free black ancestors who owned slaves? Those are ancestors she never met or had anything to do with, so what's the big deal? I imagine most of us had some unsavory ancestors.
Wait, is Canada like the UK where public schools are actually private schools that charge fees?
No, in Canada a public school is a publicly run and funded tuition free school.
They are trying to hook on the fact that she went to Westmount High School, because Westmount, in southwest Montreal, has always been a wealthy enclave. Someone compared it to attending Beverley Hills High, as if she would have been hobnobbing with the children of the rich and powerful. But the comparison doesn't hold, because the rich and powerful of Westmount send their kids to private schools, and Westmount High is largely attended by English-speaking kids from the surrounding, mainly Francophone neighborhoods, that are among the poorest in Montreal.

I heard the "descended from slave owners" thing a month ago, right here, being spouted by liberty (quelle surprise). It didn't get any traction then, it won't now. Because it's just stupid.
Also, despite some time at a Montreal high school, Harris still isn't nearly as Canadian as Canadian Ted Cruz, from Canada, born with a maple leaf up his nose.

Good God! And because of the Canadian connection, they're probably going to accuse her of smuggling — or even (gasp!) mainlining — maple syrup next!! -"BB"-
Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?
