One of these days they might just have a quote or a quote from someone I've actually heard of. Other than the occasional movie quote, the obscurity means I'm mostly playing letter toss until they just fall in place and then I look at the "quote" and wonder what obscure publication they yanked it from.

I looked up today's quotee (thinking it must have been some 16th-19th century essayist) and couldn't have been more wrong. It was in fact someone I have never heard of, even after seeing what they were known for I still don't know who it is.

There's been a couple of quotes I remember hearing before — or can at least understand why they were selected — but on the whole I agree with you. The lack of punctuation like periods, commas, or apostrophes doesn't help matters either.
