Verbatim - Trump in Detroit
"Very big plant, uh, many countries they do that, and, uh, and then all of a sudden you hear that they're leaving Milwaukee or wherever they may be, located, very sad to see it, and, it's so simple, I mean, you know, this isn't like Elon with his rocket ships that land within twelve inches on the moon where they wanted to land, or he gets the, engines back, that was the first I really, I said who the hell did that, I saw engines, about three four years ago, these things were coming, cylinders, no wings, no nothing, and they're coming down very slowly, landing on a raft in the middle of the ocean someplace, with the, circle, boom, reminded me of, the Biden circles that he used to have, right, he'd have eight circles, and he couldn't fill them up, but then I heard he BS with the popular vote, I don't know, I don't know, couldn't fill up the eight circles, I always loved those circles, they were so beautiful, they were so beautiful to look at, in fact the person that did that, that was the best thing his, the level of that circle, was, great, but they couldn't get people, so they used to have the Press, stand in for the circles, because they couldn't get the people, then I heard we lost, oh, we lost, now we're never going to let that happen again, but we've been, abused, by other countries, we've been abused by our own politicians really more than other countries."
For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts

I just do not understand how so many people can look at/ listen to the danger yam and think to themselves "yeah, he's the best one for President."

I think it comes down to basic human nature in which people find it difficult to publicly admit that they were wrong about something — the 'something' in this case being that they fell for Trump's malarkey... hook, line, and sinker. That's why so many Trump supporters still stand behind him and make excuses for him (like House Speaker Johnson re: the Arnold Palmer story) — to back off now would be to admit their error.
I'm also sure that there's a combination of racism and sexism in play here as well, in that a substantial number of people would NEVER vote for a black person or a woman for POTUS, regardless.

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

Yes. But the racists and homophobes and sexists are going to vote for the R candidate whoever it is: they will never vote for the 'libtard' whom they blame for everything. They blame regulations for cramping their entrepreneurial style and think Elon Musk is a genius. "If it wasn't for environmental regulations I'd be a billionaire." - that sort of thinking.
This notion of rugged American individualism which might have worked well in the Lincoln years has had its day. We see politicians wearing cowboy hats because they think that brand will propel them into office and it works with some folk.
