It already was as far as I was concerned. Hence the lack of contact until you became an absolute arse towards my husband and then myself on this board.

Now when are you giving up being a troll here? What you do on the G's Board is between you and him.

After carefully reading this entire thread with my highly analytical psychologically brilliant mind I've come to the conclusion that the basis for the current underlying rip tide of conversation about this & that is necessitated by the basally inbred need of all involved to heard, read and fed.

As this is a BBS - a 'Broadcast Forum' as it were - those who participate come here to tell anyone who is so inclined to read their writings and to respond.

We all come here for attention.

From time to time certain people will bring their very personal lives forward and lay their problems out for all to see. They will usually do this at a most insecure and weak moment, presumably because at that time they are in need of acknowledgement, recognition and most of all, sympathy.

Later, those same people, having moved on into another frame of mind, may regret that they've exposed a weakness that they possess, and may currently not believe that they still possess that weakness.

When all of the well intended comments from respondents are added into the mix, words and their meanings are often misconstrued. Often, the originator of the call for comments will feel that they have been preached to rather than having been offered sincere ideas and suggestions, while at the same time the other participants will feel they've been ignored or misunderstood.

That is the spark that ignites the flame of argumentative interaction.

It is then when many who have participated in the conversation feel cheated. Even though they have empathized and sympathized, they sometimes end up feeling criticized and marginalized by the very person who sought them out for their feedback.

There is but one resolution for the above infectious malfeasance.

One must learn to truly understand the following...

I am he as you are he as you are me and we are all together.

Then carry on with your bickering... :fu

lo, your last couple of posts are a bit incoherent, FYI.

As to the direction of this thread; well, you and I both know you are being quite disingenuous in posting that you don't give a damn about Hen/Gob and that it's all on them that this is being dragged on. In fact, it seems quite clear to me that they got fed up with the loCAdrama, disengaged, and you proceeded to provoke endlessly in posting through all manner of threads here and on CSB I/II. That much is obvious to all but the totally biased (Quad).

Now that the issue's come to a head in this thread, you assert that you've been all done with them for months and it's THEM who are stalking you.

That's illogical in the face of the board evidence, loCA. It's also illogical in the face of my experience with you.

I hope you quit this. If you can't be straightforward about what's going on, then you might at least just drop it all now, before you find yourself ignored by half the board.

I haven't gotten involved in this, (in fact truth be told, I would rather have a colonoscopy, a spinal tap and root canal surgery simultaneously than get involved in this) but I did want to express one concern....

In reviewing the exchange and the way it seems to be vectoring, I'm concerned that the next logical step of escalation would be for one or more parties to start posting verbatim emails and or PMs they received in confidence at a time when they did not expect that things would get this ugly.... (what has led me to have this concern is the fact that specific dates for specific private communications are now being referenced...it seems to me the next move might be to post those communications)

I think that would be a truly unfortunate development, and sincerely hope it does not happen. Not just because it would really make no substantive difference in how people are going to view this, (people are going to decide who to believe or not believe based on their own assessment of the poster's credibility...both by the comportment they have observed here and at the CSB, and in some cases also their offline dealings....nothing else is going to make much difference) but because of the truly awful precedent it would set.

I would really hate to think that we would come to a point where everyone who posted here would have to worry that any private communications with another poster, should their relationship with that poster go south, would then become fair game for public airing.

For me, one of the things I have really enjoyed over the years that I've been posting are the relationships I've struck up with a number of folks offline...through PM's and emails, over the phone, and in a number of cases FTF...

I would hate to think that if for some reason I had a falling out with anyone I've enjoyed these relationships with that it would be considered acceptable for them to start posting things I had communicated to them in private, ( or for me to do that to them, for that matter)

I think it would be a truly poisonous development if the violation of those trusts became an acceptable practice. (Not to mention the toxic effect that discussions based on private communications between posters would have on quality of the board in general.)

This is just my opinion, and people are going to do what they're going to do, (I'm certainly not going to try to play Politeness Cop.... like Rocky said to Bullwinkle, "That trick never works") but I doubt that I am alone in this view.

Well, we already have the knowledge that we are not alone in being subjected to Lo's barrage of personal information, and "requests". So I do not feel we have any need to disclose.

The only issue now then Strop is whether somebody constantly lying to the board about the content of those PMs to make you guys look bad would change that...

Umm Jim, I have to put my hand up as already posting verbatim something Lo posted to me at the beginning of her involving me in her life:
Long story short, I'd like some input on relationships since .... [snip]
The reason I posted that was because she was stating that she had never asked for my input into her relationships.I do not believe the above breaches any confidences of conversation.

It also makes me wonder why she would ever raise all her relationship issues if she didn't want any input? In my opinion, if you raise a question with someone, you are looking for an answer. I am hoping that we are coming to the end of this saga. I can't see that anything else can be achieved. It does not appear that Lo is looking for any truce on the matter and I have nothing else that can be done.

I believe it is time for Lo to take the next step in this matter. However I won't even dare to suggest what I think that should be. Hell even mentioning that I believe it is Lo's turn in this matter is probably stepping over the boundary in her eyes.

LordJim put my concerns into better words than I was coming up with. I had been thinking of the PM/email privacy concerns for a few pages but for some reason couldn't find the words.

Ouch
Even partial and in defending yourself, I consider it bad form (unless the author agreed to it).

Fair enough. I accept that many will find providing proof this way appalling.

I'll have to accept that. There is nothing that can be done about it now.

You know, generally I'm very much against the publishing of private correspondence but, as with most things, there are exceptions. If one party to the correspondence is lying about the content and using said lies to publicly slander thr other then as far as I'm concerned all bets are off!

Yeah but how about listening to "Death of a Ladies' Man"? Huh? How about that?
For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts
