.....The Elites, which is, the Democrat Party now, just don't care about the people out there struggling from day to day, they are more concerned about which bathroom a transgender person can use not the safety of the children of the deplorable.
So the "Elites" are not people in the party of the billionaire president elect, Elon Musk (the richest man in the world), Vivek Ramaswamy (worth $1 billion), etc. The "Elites" are members of the "communist" party / democrats?
And which party is having a shit-fit over a transgender woman using a public restroom? Hint: It's not the "elite" democrats complaining that an individual who has gone through years of hormone therapy and had surgery to transition into a woman is going to attack women and girls in public restrooms. It's you and your MAGA-peeps.
You seem to know a lot about "elites", and even know who they are here. However, I can say I have never called anyone a "deplorable" (at least any group of people, there may have been an individual or two who had deplorable behavior, but i don't recall), nor have I seen it used here, so I don't know what you are talking about. Nor have I ever said "old" cars should be removed from the road. And why someone woud take the bus to a work that "doesn't exist" is beyond me as well, but I can sy I took the bus to work (for a job that did exist) for many years, and knew a lot of others who took the bus and train, so why is taking a bus suddenly horrible?
You're right, I messed that sentence up: As far as you are concerned, they can walk or take the bus to work that doesn't exist. It should have read: As far as you are concerned, they can walk or take the non-existing bus to work. It might be hard for East Coast Elitist Liberal Snobs to believe but there are large parts of this country that have absolutely no public transport; some places don't even have taxis.
And you don't have to call them deplorables your fearless leader did it for you, Hillary Clinton.
I expected to be placed in an air force combat position such as security police, forward air control, pararescue or E.O.D. I would have liked dog handler. I had heard about the dog Nemo and was highly impressed. “SFB” is sad I didn’t end up in E.O.D.
And you don't have to call them deplorables your fearless leader did it for you, Hillary Clinton.
I believe she was was talking about a group of people who were carrying tiki torches, masks, shields, and offensive weapons, and provoking violent confrontations with law enforcement. You know — the Boogaloo Boys, the Oath Keepers, the Proud Boys, the Aryan Nation, and others of that ilk. The type of people whose intentions, attitudes, and actions ARE deplorable. -"BB"-
Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?
LIb--Hillary was never my leader--fearless or otherwise--and I have had significant problems with some of what she has said in the past (but that's not the topic of this thread IMHO). I have never thought of Trump supporters as deplorable--I think some are misguided, some angry and acting on the emotion without thinking, some troublemakers who just want to raise hell, and some (including some people I know personally and count as friends) who honestly believe he would make a good president (and I will admit that is something i do not understand, but also do not deny).
And, again, I see nothing wrong with taking the bus; but if there is no public transportation, maybe there should be as relying on an old car on its last legs to commute to work is not the best option for the employer or the employee. Again, I took a bus to work for a number of years and found nothing wrong with it.
So instead of thrwoing insults at the elites while, as Meade and Joe Guy pointed out, supporting the party and group of those very elites you despise, why not work to give more choices to people by providing them the choice of public transportation for commuting; it will be better for them and better for the environment--a win-win (unless you believe there can be no "win" unless the other side "loses").
You're right, I messed that sentence up: As far as you are concerned, they can walk or take the bus to work that doesn't exist. Speaking as an East Coast Elitist Liberal Snob,* as far as I'm concerned the government should be subsidizing the transition to electric vehicles by making them affordable for the masses (washed or otherwise), and should provide public transportation in areas where it is feasible -- which is where the vast majority of people live. The government should also be ensuring access to high-speed internet service, since many jobs these days don't actually require commuting to a physical office.
* I am neither elitist, liberal or a snob, but I freely admit to being "East Coast."
And just to be clear: H Clinton never said that Trump supporters were 'deplorables'. She said that deplorables - racists, sexists, homophobes, xenophobes etc - would vote for Trump.
