They are arriving at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware on Friday, and while their bodies will be received by several senators and members of the military, the commander in chief couldn’t be bothered to make the trip. Those guys died an horrific death, too - they suffocated to death when their armored vehicle sunk into a peat bog in Lithuania. I heard a piece about the rescue efforts on NPR and it painted a very bleak picture of the conditions.
