US President Donald Trump framed his sweeping rollback of federal climate change policy on Thursday as a political win over the Democratic Party's "radical" environmental agenda, reprising a message Republicans have used in past elections and could turn to once again ahead of November's crucial midterms.
His announcement at the White House was one of the most significant moves of his second term in office. The president said he was revoking an Obama-era "endangerment finding" from 2009 which held that pollution harms public health and the environment.
For almost 17 years, the US has used that scientific finding as the legal basis to establish policies to reduce emissions from cars, power plants and other sources of planet-warming gases.

For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts

So the air becomes unfit to breathe. What the hell does he care? The only time he's out in the open is when he's playing golf. Otherwise, he's almost always indoors, where they've got air-conditioning with HEPA filters and God only knows what else — and someone else to pay for it.MajGenl.Meade wrote: ↑Fri Feb 13, 2026 6:10 amUS President Donald Trump framed his sweeping rollback of federal climate change policy on Thursday as a political win over the Democratic Party's "radical" environmental agenda, reprising a message Republicans have used in past elections and could turn to once again ahead of November's crucial midterms.

And on top of that, he's fuckin' near eighty and his health is failing. He's gonna be dead soon anyway, and where he's going he's gonna have all the coal he can shovel. So again, why the fuck would he even worry about greenhouse gases, smog, toxins in the air, acid rain, or anything else?

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

Well actually indoor air is much more polluted than outdoor air in most cases, although as industry acts on this new BS from Trump’s EPA that could certainly change.
I try to keep my windows open year round except in the bitterest cold weather, and have long since invested in high quality air filter units (BlueAir) to manage the worst of the indoor pollutants.

Yes, indoor air quality is often 2 to 5 times—and sometimes up to 100 times—more polluted than outdoor air, according to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the American Lung Association. While outdoor air can have high levels of pollutants, indoor air is usually less ventilated, allowing contaminants from cooking, cleaning, furniture, and building materials to accumulate.
For me, it is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring.
