Do you believe in collective guilt?
Re: Do you believe in collective guilt?
I read the original also Guin. Presumably at about the same time you did. [-pre deletion]
Hence my comment to refer to my previous and original reaction.
And guess what? I don't care that it makes my original post look out of context. Because I still stand by every word.

All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

"Rapped" her?liberty wrote: BSG, is right I could have made it more clear; in the post that I refereed to the author refers to comments made by a social worker and Haitian woman concerning the man that rapped her.
Your collective inability to acknowledge this obvious truth makes you all look like fools.

Re: Do you believe in collective guilt?
I didn’t mean to delete it. I didn’t realize that I was at the top of the post. I thought I was making room in a reply. Here lately I have started getting concerned about my mind. I have three or four different thoughts going on in my head at the same time going in different directions. The multiple thoughts is not that unusual, but they are chaotic. There is no history of mental illness or brain cancer in my family but it concerns me. I will try correct my mistake when I remember what I wrote.Guinevere wrote:Timster, that's not it. Prior to the article, in his original, unedited post, Lib included his own thoughts and comments on the subject, including the statement I referenced and addressed above about "corruption of blood." It was at least four sentences long, perhaps longer, I can't remember because I read it early this morning and when I came back to comment specifically on those words, they were gone. Edited out. Lib apparently isn't acknowledging his deletion, but I know what I read.
Soon, I’ll post my farewell message. The end is starting to get close. There are many misconceptions about me, and before I go, to live with my ancestors on the steppes, I want to set the record straight.

If you would please write what you thought I said to help me remember. And no I am not doing an experiment, I am being straight with you.

I did it the other day myself when editing a post. Mistakes happen.liberty wrote:I didn’t mean to delete it. I didn’t realize that I was at the top of the post. I thought I was making room in a reply. Here lately I have started getting concerned about my mind.
Don't worry yourself about what you said. It wasn't memorable enough to be bothered with trying to reproduce it.

Re: Do you believe in collective guilt?
Well then what is she saying. As I read it she said that she was raped by a black man because he was angry at the white establishment of the white world of which Haiti has none. If I misread it which is possible well then enlighten, there is nothing to loose.Scooter wrote:No, I read the way in which the author of the piece so cheesily framed the opposing argument so as to be able to attack it easily.liberty wrote:You are assuming that no one here believe in collective guilt.Scooter wrote:Straw men are just so much fun to knock down, aren't they?
It's the way intellectually vacuous people argue.
I guess that's what attracted you to it.

Any time the word all is used I am dubious because nothing is a hundred per cent, there will always be outliers. But do blacks have on average more musical talent that other races. I don’t know and we want know until there is some type of a scientific investigation done.Scooter wrote:Well, all black people have rhythm, don't they?

And yet another 747 goes whoosh, right overhead.
As to your previous post, I'm not your remedial reading comprehension teacher. Try using that summa cum laude associate's degree from the University of East Butt Crack and read what she is saying without the spin put on it by this latest right-wing blogger you have decided to take as your guru.

Ok I am not surprised, but I figured I had nothing to loose by trying. If one is not willing to explain something it is most likely because they don’t know itScooter wrote:And yet another 747 goes whoosh, right overhead.

.
I have no guru conservative or otherwise. I stumbled on to this site while researching a story on topix concerning a man who knowingly infected a number of women with HIV in Washington and Oklahoma. I found it interesting that the man appeared to feel no guilt over what he did and more interesting one victim felt sorry for the guy, evidently not holding him responsible but considered him also a victim.

Re: Do you believe in collective guilt?
Tim, you don’t seem to get it I am not bothered by what you say and I have absolutely no fear of saying anything I want and I will not tolerate any fear on my part at least to the point of letting it control me. If I was a racist or fascist I would say so and there would be no code involved, you would have no trouble understanding.Timster wrote:WTF? No. Bitch. Fuck you. Oh. No Period. simpleton...
Ugly. In your face Spam gets DELETED around these here parts. I don't make the Rules Cunt.
But I still call you a Cunt for your deliberately PERNICIOUS WAYS; because I live under the same rules!
I REALLY DISLIKE YOUR "Rabble rousing Fascist oops racists \ways."
I am NOT sorry that you rub My fur the wrong way.
BECAUSE; individuals such as yourself will eventually encounter the WALL.
What is that? PWNED he may ask;?
That my friend is when an Obvious to everyone other than yourself that you are indeed a racist dickweed ; and that you by default must suck my Dick. Bitch. Fuck You and the attitude that you rode in on.
Now.
Stop it.
OR... Suffer the wrath of my unwarranted sarcasm again
As a matter of fact since it is considered racist to say anything negative about blacks I might post the things I see as unacceptable about the black community.
