Where Is The Outrage?

Post by Andrew D »

People are now mocking my late father.

He is dead.

He has been dead for years.

He can't possibly begin to defend himself against calumnies. He is dead.

I didn't bring in @meric@nwom@n's parents. Or siblings. Or children.

I didn't bring in bigskygal's parents. Or siblings. Or children.

So where is the outrage?

Where are all the people screaming about the total gutlessness of it all?

Where are you?
Reason is valuable only when it performs against the wordless physical background of the universe.

I haven't read the thread.

I can't be outraged without reason.

I will be outraged when I catch up with things.
Bah!

Since Andrew has deactivated his account, (and therefore won't be chasing me around haranguing me with charges, insults and diversionary tactics if I comment on his posts) I have taken him off ignore and looked at some of his recent posts.
People are now mocking my late father.
I want to say that I believe it is always and everywhere wrong to make fun of someone's deceased parents; (if that's what's happened) no matter how odious the behavior of the target. (That happened to me years ago at the Cafe Darte after my mother passed away from lung cancer)

But that having been said the fact is that this would not have happened had it not for Andrew's own vicious behavior. Behavior for which he remained, up to the very end, entirely unrepentant:
Lately, I have been nasty. I have been vituperative and scornful.

I think that the people whom I have subjected to that treatment deserved it.
When one behaves in the way Andrew has, it's hardly surprising that you don't see a vast chorus of "outrage" when his ox gets gored.

Actually I never made fun of his dead father, who sounds absolutely amazing in his obituary, I merely said I did not see how his spawn became so fucked up. And I really do wonder about that.

Andrew was a fabulous poster when he was not off on a vicious rant.

Pity.

I agree...

And last week he went completely off the deep end with an orgy of dishonesty, malevolent attacks, and all sort of trolling of the rankest sort, directed at multiple targets....

And then he compounded his noxious behavior by adding stomach turning self pity and claims about how he was being wronged to the mix....

There's very little that's more unappealing than a vicious harassing bully whining about how he's being persecuted....(which he was doing in lengthy posts long before stuff was posted about him yesterday.)

The real "pity" to me is that based on this:
Lately, I have been nasty. I have been vituperative and scornful.

I think that the people whom I have subjected to that treatment deserved it.
It's clear he remains completely clueless and in denial about what happened and why...

Instead of making excuses for his behavior, and being defiant and unrepentant about it, he should have been apologizing for it.

I missed something :shrug
Guess I need to look around.

That being said, bringing family (who are not involved) into the "fray" is bad form IMO.
