I have been wondering about getting one ... My brothers too. We'd get each others names embedded in a Celtic band around the upper arm.May never happen, but I like the thought.
If a man speaks in the forest and there are no women around to hear is he still wrong?

That would work.
I have to tell this talk-story again for stoat's benefit, I know most of you have heard it before
I had a leading First Class Petty Officer of my shop, opt for finally getting a tattoo overseas on our last deployment. This was in Singapore where the inking is really gorgeous and they have colors that really ~pop~. So, she decids to get all three of her children's names done on her calf, in little ribbons over hearts surrounded by drifting rose petals; absolutely adorable. So, while we her crew are admiring the artwork, somebody has to say, "What about your husband's name?"
Her answer, and I quote was: "My kids will always be my kids, but my husband ...? You never know."
What precognition! On her return to the states, her husband filed for divorce, because he was madly/chemically in love with his 300lbs. crack addict/dealer/lover. His reason for leaving?
"She left me first."
At least, she didn't have tattoo regret, ya know?
