Two guys, driving around the Lake District,

Post by Gob »

in a car, chatting and doing impersonations.

Doesn't sounds like it would be the plot for a good movie.

But it is, we saw it last night.

With qualifications.
1. Some knowledge of the actors and their work is needed.
2. The humour tends to be very British.
3. The humour is balanced by pathos.

We've got the TV series which this movie is based, coming over from the UK on DVD, really looking forward to watching it. (Sean & SMF will get a copy!)

Ah! So it's worth a watch then.

Who is Steve Coogan? Has he been in anything I might have seen?
Why is it that when Miley Cyrus gets naked and licks a hammer it's 'art' and 'edgy' but when I do it I'm 'drunk' and 'banned from the hardware store'?

Hamlet 2 (far far better than anyone would expect it to be) and various other supporting roles
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.

His scene with Alfred Molina in Coffee and Cigarettes was subtle and clever in its humour. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DhNyafL1cm4

And he's put a block on any Presidentail candidate using "Knowing Me, Knowing You" or anything by Tony Ferrino.
