That's so wonderful RB, and great respect to those who took the time to reply!

Ah, the good old benzodiazapines.

I rather fancied Klonopin myself.

Your collective inability to acknowledge this obvious truth makes you all look like fools.

My son gets married today!!! This past week has been incredibly stressful and emotional - I seem to have spent a great deal of it crying
but in a little over 8 hours time I shall be a mother-in-law :o there have been some minor hiccups all of which took on biblical catastrophe proportions at the time but which now seem rather silly   culminating yesterday in me somehow manging to bump against my desk pulling it and this computer down on top of me, leaving me with a spectacular bruise on my collarbone and having to prop the damned thing up on an empty bin, 2 briefcases and a pile of books until we can replace it tomorrow or Monday :?

I'm incredibly proud of my son and under no illusions about the amount of tears I will be shedding again today  it'll be a minor miracle if I manage to get through my deliberately short reading/speech without bawling  hopefully they will both have the day they have dreamed of and take away lots of wonderful memories for their future together.
If you can keep your head while those around you are losing theirs, you may have misjudged the situation.

Wow. A big day indeed.

Enjoy yourself and live in the moment of the day, whatever that may bring you.

All the best to the best to the Bride and Groom, and naturally, all the best to you!
Bah!

That was worthy of a new thread R-B, you should start one to tell us how it all goes.

This evening I will be heading North to await the arrival of my 6th Grandchild.

I told my daughter to let him know that if he didn't make a move soon I was bringing a chain that I would hook to my pickup and we'd pull him out...

They just don't make music like they did back in the day when I had hair identical to Lord in this video. *heavy sigh*

Anyway, after just turning 52 it seems I'm getting a bit nostalgic; and I thought just maybe that a couple of you old fucks might enjoy a trip down memory lane with me.

Enjoy! 8-)

Ps: Oh and check out the audience at the end. Last thing written in the comments was: "Audience looks like a group of stunned rabbits caught in head-lights, it looks like they were there to see Gilbert O'Sullivan by the look of them,,,,,,,,,,,little did they know."

True DAT! LMFAO~

No I hadn't. But I can say that he looks like a gent there and a whole hellava lot better than the fucked up "Meatloafesque" character that he was when he appeared in Belgium in 2006. Where he also had some crack addict looking dude on stage singing his high notes for him. And that not very well either. Not impressed...

He played Canberra year before last, very distinguished looking gent these days. He was on local TV too, great raconteur. Unfortunately he tours with a sort of bluse/jazz/shuffle/ragtime sort of sound these days, not my cuppa.
