I didn't say accept without question; my observation was on the ostracism designed to change his behavior and/or just plain power trip.

There is no "power trip" going on here. A real "power trip" would be if Gob were to ban quad from this BBS.loCAtek wrote:I didn't say accept without question; my observation was on the ostracism designed to change his behavior and/or just plain power trip.
As it is, quad and anybody else can continue to say stupid things if they want to. But I wouldn't expect people to be nice to anyone who obviously only comes here to attempt to irritate most of us.
quad likes attention. He just doesn't know how to get it without lying about things.
I certainly don't want him banned. He is great entertainment, but not everybody sees him that way.
Re: Maine: Is this really America?
Well, that was almost tried, with the ban Quad poll. The only reason they don't try it, is it would cause other posters to leave. Instead, they're trying the 'tell him he wants to leave.' tactic of ostracism. I'm sure Quad, doesn't need anyone else to tell him his motivations and desires, he's a grown man after all.Joe Guy wrote:There is no "power trip" going on here. Re: Maine: Is this really America?
When someone comes here to prove how people can be ostracized by the majority and then accomplishes his/her goal by being a jerk and then is ignored by some and criticized by others, that person can only blame himself/herself.loCAtek wrote:Well, that was almost tried, with the ban Quad poll. Further, that person doesn't need to be defended or given sympathy.
Most people here respond to the substance (or lack of substance) in what is written on a subject rather than who wrote it. People who feel mistreated by a group of people here should think about what they are saying and how they are saying it before complaining about how people respond.

Joe, are your trousers not getting soaked here mate?
“If you trust in yourself, and believe in your dreams, and follow your star. . . you'll still get beaten by people who spent their time working hard and learning things and weren't so lazy.”

Something has fascinated me from post one of this topic.
Why do it?
There is no grammatical reason to capitalize 'white people'.No litter. No graffiti. Nothing but courteous, friendly, helpful, White People.
Why do it?
Bah!

What complaints? The biggest complainers are the clique, whilst the unequal animals post anywayZ.Joe Guy wrote:loCAtek wrote:People who feel mistreated by a group of people here should think about what they are saying and how they are saying it before complaining about how people respond.

Well said. Don't feed the trolls.bigskygal wrote:Consider this a gentle chiding reminder that the worst thing we could do to these two is just totally ignore them. Personally, I don’t believe in bros before hoes, or hoes before bros. There needs to be a balance. A homie-hoe-stasis, if you will.
