7 billion people and you: What's your number?

The world's population is expected to hit seven billion in the next few weeks. After growing very slowly for most of human history, the number of people on Earth has more than doubled in the last 50 years. Where do you fit into this story of human life?

Me;
When you were born, you were the:
2,956,762,558th
person alive on Earth
76,535,645,443rd
person to have lived since history began

Only seven billion people, I can’t wait for it to reach fourteen billion and we can get rid of some of this filthy empty space; what we need is more pavement and less green.
I expected to be placed in an air force combat position such as security police, forward air control, pararescue or E.O.D. I would have liked dog handler. I had heard about the dog Nemo and was highly impressed. “SFB” is sad I didn’t end up in E.O.D.

Poor sods.

ETA: the calculator won't accept any date before 1910, those folk are already dead I supppose?

Your collective inability to acknowledge this obvious truth makes you all look like fools.

According to reliable sources, the Aztecs used to have symbolic "wars" in which soldiers were sacrificed, in full battle gear, when too much time had elapsed since the last real war. It was thought to be dangerous to have all them warriors floating around with nothing to keep them interested.

And of course the soldiers believed that they would be happy in the afterlife for sacrificing their lives in service to the gods.

The diseases brought by the Europeans took care of this problem.

The point being, wars and plagues are good solutions to overpopulation, "birth control" seeming to have no real impact.

Have you studied the demographics of western Europe lately, or even USA/Canada?

It would be far more intricate to calculate, because it would require the interpolating of death data since you were born, but it would be interesting to see where people rank by age among everyone alive today.

Kelly's birth date, August 11th, 1971:
3,777,426,788thperson alive on Earth

77,964,606,488th person to have lived since history began
700 million people born between her birth date and mine...

I don't think I'll share that bit of information with her.... :D
