Mining's scat!
Fishing's scat!
Farming's scat!
It's back to wreckin' me hansome's!

Mining is finished!
Fishing is finished!
Farming is finished!
It's back to wrecking and plundering passing ships my friends!
A new campaign to warn about illegal tobacco in Cornwall has been launched by the county's NHS.

Health bosses said they were concerned that smuggled tobacco sold cheaply was creating an inexpensive source for children and young people.

They added that such tobacco also allowed adults to continue smoking when they otherwise could not afford it.

Public events were to help people understand the impact such tobacco had on communities, the NHS said.

Events will be held on the Piazza on The Moor in Falmouth on Tuesday and Wednesday, and at White River Place in St Austell on Thursday and Friday, organisers said.

Trading Standards officers from Cornwall Council will give advice about illegal purchases, and Stop Smoking Service health advisors would be available to assist people who wanted to quit smoking, they added.

NHS Cornwall said the campaign was part of the South of England Tackling Illegal Tobacco for Better Health programme.

Of course, scat has a completely different meaning from where I come from.

One that still fits the song and the mentality of the plunderers.

How much do a pack of smokes cost in Cornwall?

Your collective inability to acknowledge this obvious truth makes you all look like fools.

A pack of Windsor cigarettes, for instance, currently priced at about £5.13 will now cost £5.63 ($9.07 US), with 88 per cent of its retail price going to the Treasury in either VAT or duty.

A pack of premium cigarettes, such as Silk Cut or Benson & Hedges, will increase from £6.62 to £6.95 ($11.20 US).

It is difficult to grown your own in the UK in order to roll it. You can buy rolling tobacco cheaper, but it is still only mildly cheaper.

Thanks, Hen.

And people in CA were beeching about the 50-cent per pack tax levied a few years ago.

It's nice to know that I can kill myself cheaper here.

Why is it that when Miley Cyrus gets naked and licks a hammer it's 'art' and 'edgy' but when I do it I'm 'drunk' and 'banned from the hardware store'?

When did the Cornish stop plundering passing ships?

I was under the impression that they are known as "The Somalis of the United Kingdom"....

There's a lot of Cornish people would take great offence at that description Jim.

They don't consider themselves part of the UK.
