Sean, no disrespect intended. I've had beef well or medium well done and it's always been awful. I can't help but think someone who orders it that way just hasn't experienced a perfect cut medium rare - but of course that may not be the case.

If you ever visit me in Montana I promise to leave your steak on the grill a few minutes longer without commentary.

I like a nice steak but its not my idea of 'fine dining'. We used to be able to get nice fresh bison in Portland but bison is very lean thus a bit trickier to cook.

I had a lovely lunch of Minke Whale in Reykjavik. I still think about it. Wonderful flavor. Worth a try, if you're there.

I am sure that Sister Mary weeps when she cooks your steak for a week Sean.

(Cancel that, I KNOW she weeps!)

And if you ever visit San Francisco, I'll have a bottle of ketchup, or A-1, or Heinz 57 handy that you can pour on your steak so you'll be able to swallow it without choking....

Don't forget our famous sourdough bread and world-class California wine!

(that's a nice meal in iteslf)

Your collective inability to acknowledge this obvious truth makes you all look like fools.

Interesting how many of you assumed that I like my steak well-done...

I don't actually... but neither do I feel the need to criticise those who do. I have a friend like Jarl actually, the thought of pink meat makes him retch. I suppose he should not be allowed to have steak at all then... the uncultured, ignorant bastard! :nana
Why is it that when Miley Cyrus gets naked and licks a hammer it's 'art' and 'edgy' but when I do it I'm 'drunk' and 'banned from the hardware store'?

Not the thought of it, not even the sight...just trying to eat it. Had food poisoning twice in my life...no more rare meat and no more potato salad for me. (Food poisoning, for the record, SUCKS.)
