Tomorrow I turn 41.
I live in a cozy little old house I've spent the past year painting & beautifying. It has a lovely sunporch where I sit in all seasons, reading, writing or watching the squirrels & birds - and a little fenced yard for my doggy. It's five blocks from the courthouse where I work, so I often walk home at lunch for a hot, wholesome meal & time with my doggy. At the courthouse I work amongst judges, clerks, lawyers, social workers, probation officers, law enforcement, victims AND defendants who respect my ethics and diligent work habits. Many are friends.
I have dear friends here, and all over the world. I've learned that they are THE most important thing in this life.
I'm diligently paying my student loans while serving my community, and 2012 will be the year I finally travel abroad! Oz! I hope.
My health is generally good - I count my blessings. I didn't have cancer a year ago, and have to remind myself over & over that everything now is gravy.
I am writing a book - finally!
When I need to recharge, I am only hours from some of the most amazing mountains in North America. And only minutes from some lovely littler ones.
My life so far has offered much pain and many lessons. But, life is good. I am grateful.
Thank you for the good wishes. This place is dear to me. I hope someday to meet many of you. Even AGD & loCA!
I love everyone!
I'm drinking Cabernet - can you tell?

For me, it is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring.
