The worst my mother ever did was dress me and my sister in similar dresses (very pretty ones, IIRC) and have Dad take a photo of us. No fig leaves, no cheap looking christmas boxes, and no red gingham, thank God!

I have a picture somewhere of me, my sister and my cousin in matching dresses - made by my mother - posed in front of our Christmas tree. It's hilarious. If I can dig it out, I'll scan it and post it here for y'all to guffaw at. Thankfully, she never made us into a card.
I admit with some chagrin that those are my least favorite holiday cards.
