Ok, I really am due for a trim. I just noticed that it reaches quite a ways below the bottom of my sternum.

Maybe next month. Or June; wait, we're going to Paris next May maybe I should get spruced up for the trip.

I had a mental picture of the acerbic bee-keeping scientist which didn't include long hair.

However the more I think about it, the more it fits.

So you can keep your hair. ;)

I almost cut my hair, it was happened just the other day.
It was gettin' kinda long, I could've said it was in my way.
But I didn't and I wonder why, I feel like letting my freak flag fly,
And I feel like I owe it to someone.

Well, must be because I had the flu for Christmas and I'm not feeling up to par.
You know, it increases my paranoia, like looking in my mirror and seeing a police car.
But I'm not givin' in an inch to fear. I promised myself this year.
I feel like I owe it to someone.

When I finally get myself together, I'm going to get down in that sunny southern weather.
And going to find a space inside to laugh, separate the wheat from the chaff.
'Cause I feel like I owe it to someone.

I have a much easier time imaging rube with aging hippie style long hair than I do imagining him as a scientist....

Rube a "scientist"....

Now that's funny!

I also dodged getting a trim this year; by wearing my red hat with bells on to the parties. (It was friggin' cold, I wasn't gonna go out without a cover!) I even got a great compliment on my Xmas wreath/scrunchie w/bells

So, the right accessorizing saved the day! ...except, it's been so long, I think my right earring hole has closed, but that's a different topic. :D

Men with long hair are hot. Men with long hair who cut it off for Locks of Love are even hotter.

I've still got hair on my head!!

I started becoming pigmentally challenged in my late 30's and now my hair lacks the brown color that it once had.

So, although I became prematurely gray, I've retained my immaturely way.

My hair's thinned on top, (I'm planning on getting a transplant to deal with that) but I still have it....

I'd have grey side burns and and a few other strands of grey, were it not for the monthly dye jobs...

I'm in the same boat Jim... except for the transplant and dye jobs. I don't have enough vanity for that and would rather let nature take it's course.
Why is it that when Miley Cyrus gets naked and licks a hammer it's 'art' and 'edgy' but when I do it I'm 'drunk' and 'banned from the hardware store'?

Not a problem Sean....

I easily have more than enough vanity for two....

I'm just too damn cheap!

My hair has gone south. What once grew from the top of my head now sprouts from my chin!

The saddest thing about hair is that when you get older, hair starts growing longer in places you never imagined it would or wanted it to grow.

For example, nasal hairs start lengthening and creeping down your upper lip.

Fuzzy ear hair begins to become visible to anyone who pays attention - and it not only sprouts outward from your ear canal, it grows on your ear lobe. One single hair seems to grow an inch or two overnight on a lobe before you discover it!!

And rather than cut it, you need to grab and yank it.

It's like some weed seed from your inner ear got loose and took root on your ear lobe!!

And hair starts growing lower on your neck than it ever did when you were younger and then also grows in random places above your cheek bones.

Eyebrows are another problem.

They grow wild and out of control, but you're the last one to realize it.

You don't realize it until one day you have a problem focusing and think you've got something in your eye and then someone mentions that you've got a hair dangling from your eyebrow and that it's tangled under your eyelid.

Ha! I get longer and longer 'Lady-burns' ...sideburns that never existed before, but they don't bother me as much as my ONE chin hair. Where-the-Fork did that come from? From outta nowhere, I have one gray strand sprouting from under my chin, that is reminiscent of the stereotypical 'old lady' follicle, as seen in Snow White ...but why? Why do Latinas get that one stray whisker? Everything else about me is still 'Short, brown and cute'. Guess, I gotta stay true to my Raza.

..but of course, I religiously puck it. So, don' say nuthin' ;)

That's probably a good pluckin' idea, but I don't think it's a religious one.
