So would that be cannot or will not answer my questions Quad?

It's also worth pointing out that I'm not actually talking about low-end domestic equipment. My main experience over the years had been with extremely high end audio reproduction equipment and if you don't mind too much I'll take the evidence of my own trained ears alongside scopes and analysers over that of a bunch of Internet geeks who probably still think that the Vox AC30 sound cannot be reproduced...
Why is it that when Miley Cyrus gets naked and licks a hammer it's 'art' and 'edgy' but when I do it I'm 'drunk' and 'banned from the hardware store'?

ooo cool, myth #6.

(its an inside joke. you prefer to be an outsider.)

Know who jimmy Iovine is?

he said:

"People from 40 years old to 50 years old, 85% could tell the difference between $100 speakers and $1000 speakers.
People from 30-40, 80-85%. from 15-30 20% could tell the difference".

"this was for two reasons, the laptop and the earbud"

"audio is the ass end of the computer, you wouldn't do that with the video card. you wouldn't put a blurry picture up there"

btw, its nice to see you admit that you do not use digital as well, which sort of was the point....

but you bring up a new point that will hold outside of this little plan-b world: You cannot brag about your music/stereo/hearing if your platform is junk.

I note you are all over google tonight and still cannot come up with a coherent response, retort, rebuttal or even example. Call us "internet geeks"* if you must, but people like Alan Parsons, Bob Luidwig, Ian Shepherd (to name a few) are among us....

*= which is funny cuz most of us started with this stuff before the internet was invented, either for real or by algore.

Yannow, I've always wanted something like this.

Sit in the dark, put on some Pink Floyd (reel to reel tape, of course), watch those output tubes light up and smoke some really primo NorCal MJ.
ImageOh yeah, there's one of these per side. :)

Your collective inability to acknowledge this obvious truth makes you all look like fools.

Sometimes it seems as though one has to cross the line just to figger out where it is

I did? Where was that then?
I think that possibly something else I wrote went over your head. I've learned to expect that though...
but you bring up a new point that will hold outside of this little plan-b world: You cannot brag about your music/stereo/hearing if your platform is junk.
Now you're just rambling. Bragging? My stereo? My platform? I'm not sure what posts you're actually reading...

Good for them! If you are indicative of the level of knowledge and coherence there I still think I'll avoid it thank you very much!

another fluff post, no substance, no items, no facts, nothing but over the shoulder insults. why is that sean? regardless of the topic we get insinuations that you have done this, did that, but never anything verifiable of substance. why is that sean?
as I have pointed out dozens of times, everything I say I do, is easily verifiable with a few mouse clicks. and its apparent I know and understand the subject matter. I give 3 names above that if you in fact did, what you imply you do, you would know. Perhaps even be in contact with. but you do not and are not. why is that sean? all we can verify is that you spend too much time on the net posting to this forum, and not much else. why is that sean? for somebody that is as important as you say you are, you have exactly zero marks on the world. why is that sean? Its perfectly ok to be contributionless. Most are. But you claim to be a playah in more than one endeavor, but nobody dead or alive can verify it, OR even demonstrate you understand the basics of the subject matter. why is that sean?

Where can I find a link that shows Timothy Geithner is your Supervisor?

I don't see where it says that Timmy is your supervisor.

When is the last time he gave you a performance evaluation?

Please post the results.

If you can't do that, you should at least be able to provide proof that Timothy Geithner supervises Computer Technicians.

P.S. Please post the results of your forgery claim against me.

I continue to wonder how an IT Specialist who works for the IRS can claim to have Timothy Geithner for a Supervisor.

Isn't that exactly the same as a janitor who works in a federal building claiming President Obama is his Supervisor?

Funny post! Again you ignore my questions... I think it's most definitely a case of 'cannot answer'. You have more than proven your lack of knowledge in this area.
quaddriver wrote: another fluff post, no substance, no items, no facts, nothing but over the shoulder insults. why is that sean? regardless of the topic we get insinuations that you have done this, did that, but never anything verifiable of substance. why is that sean?
Simply because unlike you, I have no need to brag about my achievements. Unlike you I do not feel the need to justify or prove myself on the internet. As I said before there are people on this forum who know me in RL. They know who and and what I am/was. If anybody asks me about my past, the amount of information they receive is directly proportional to the amount of fucks I give about that person. By now, even you should be able to take a hint...
as I have pointed out dozens of times, everything I say I do, is easily verifiable with a few mouse clicks. and its apparent I know and understand the subject matter.

It is? Not in the tripe you post matey. In fact you show a notable ignorance on the subject. One subject amongst many...
I give 3 names above that if you in fact did, what you imply you do, you would know. Perhaps even be in contact with. but you do not and are not. why is that sean?

Dammit you're right Quad! As a musician I should be in contact with every person on the planet who works in the music industry! Shame on me!
all we can verify is that you spend too much time on the net posting to this forum, and not much else. why is that sean?
I do? You can verify that? Please... go ahead.
for somebody that is as important as you say you are, you have exactly zero marks on the world. why is that sean? Its perfectly ok to be contributionless. Most are. But you claim to be a playah in more than one endeavor, but nobody dead or alive can verify it, OR even demonstrate you understand the basics of the subject matter. why is that sean?
First of all, I never claimed to be important... I think you'll find that was you. Secondly, my 'marks' are out there for anyone to see and hear... IF they know where to find them. Which you don't. Thirdly, no amount of goading will persuade me to reveal anymore about myself to you than I want to. I have nothing to prove to you. You are a sad little man who makes things up so he can pretend to be Billy Big Bollocks on the internet.

Your problem, not mine.

Sure, I make a typo therefore it must all be wrong....

as for your claims about subject matter - PROVE it. You didnt understand any single concept I alluded to, and this is after a day and a half of intense googling. ITs ok, you didnt take EE in college. I did, that gives me an advantage. you could have come up with any simple demonstration you understand digital sampling - you didnt because you dont understand it. You could have come up with a simple explanation as to what make a clean pre-amp or amp since you claim to have one - but you didnt because you dont understand it. Bizarrely, you came up with a correct explanation for photo vs ccd, but fell on your face for audio - because you didnt understand it.

I dont hold the fact that you do not understand these things against you. But I do hold against you your propensity to pontificate about them.

I mentioned a subset of names, who are vintage and high end audio fans who produce sound for a living - as you claim to. Their likes are a natural offshoot of what they do. SO in short, I am calling BS on your claims.

And you dont have to brag about what you do, which I certainly do not do. You would not know I was at AK unless I told you to go there to learn something for once. over half of all business is now e-driven. enthusiasts and participants in any endeavor have web presence. The fact that I am square in the middle on some topics simply means I know what I am doing and the world recognizes it. *I* didnt put my work out there. *they* did. I dont solicit business or advice for audio equipment - they seek me out and I have the contacts to prove it. Are you sought out on any subject? or are you content to act the prick no matter?

btw - given that 2 days have passed, did you actually bother to learn what an artifact in digital music is and how it got there? (hint: it relates to the very creation of digital music, therefore it cannot be helped)
