BTW, do you know what piece he was playing? I think it's one of the Bach cello suites, transcribed for viola, but I couldn't find any info in any of the stories on line (a lot of them even say he's a violinist, fer chrissakes!). He was doing a nice job, and the room sounded great for the piece.

Oh I found a site that identifies it as the Allemande from Suite No.5. (I've got Rostropovich doing that around here somewhere, now I'm going to have to go dig it out and put it in the CD player.)
