I'm in a clique!

You'll ask to ask Quad himself that question. He lurks but doesn't post. I'm sure he's got his reasons...
Why is it that when Miley Cyrus gets naked and licks a hammer it's 'art' and 'edgy' but when I do it I'm 'drunk' and 'banned from the hardware store'?

Andrew and Quad had become thick as thieves, I'm sure he knows how to contact him, and I wouldn't be a bit surprised if he knows why Quad has decided to stop posting.

ETA:

One of Quad's habits was to rally to the side of any poster who he saw making a complete ass out of themselves, to offer his support and encouragement. He did this, because having openly admitted that he wanted to see this forum destroyed, it made sense from his perspective to encourage any one who was acting in a way that he believed would contribute to this goal.

This is why I pointed out that if one saw themselves suddenly drawing praise from Quad, it would be a good signal that they should take a long hard look at their behavior.

A simple PM should reach Quad if you really want to know Andrew...

Sooner or later he will come out of lurk mode, and he will probably say something about conducting some sort of observational experiment,

Because, as I have so often proven, I am psychic where that crowd are concerned.

quad is a clique unto himself.

He's probably just too busy studying Van Halen.

You know... the guitarist that paved the way for the whole hair metal movement of the 80's with his fast fretful finger picking?

The one thing I noticed about Van Halen fans when I was going to school, was that there was a strong correlation between them and those who dropped acid.

quad on acid.

That might explain where he gets his inside information.

The voices in his head tell him everything he needs to know.

He don't need no stinking computer.

I suppose that I could contact Quaddriver through this board's messaging service. I have not tried.

I do not know why he has not posted here recently. His reason(s) is/are his own. And he may have no more reason than that he does not consider it worth his time.

The "Where's Quad" thread was not started for the purpose of finding out where he is. It was started as yet another of the thread-starter's self-glorifications of having driven off yet another poster.

Remember AndyH? One of the most civilized, reasonable, intelligent posters we -- whether on this board or somewhere else whence many of us came -- ever saw?

Remember how he got driven away?

If this:
Lord Jim wrote:One of Quad's habits was to rally to the side of any poster who he saw making a complete ass out of themselves, to offer his support and encouragement.
were true, then Quaddriver would have been taking different positions for, at least, months. But he has not.

Did Quaddriver side with the poster making an ass of himself while getting crushed on the subject of John Yoo?

Did Quaddriver side with the poster making such an ass of himself on the subject of public nudity that he had to launch an attempt at an analogy which no thinking person took at all seriously?

Did Quaddriver side with the poster making such an ass of himself on the subject of prosecutors that he had to begin his "argument" with a flat-out lie?

I do not recall Quaddriver's having done any of those things.

When my behavior consists primarily of failed attempts to bilk people out of their hard-earned money, then I should take a long, hard look at it. Meanwhile, however, maybe a wannabe internet scammer should take a hard look at his. Somebody certainly should.

Funny, AndyH and I exchanged e-mails recently, he offered to drop in when he has the time, but is swamped by work at the moment.

I suspect you may be very correct in regards to it not being worth his time.

quad was not 'driven off' by anyone other than his own quad self.
Andrew D wrote:Remember AndyH? One of the most civilized, reasonable, intelligent posters we -- whether on this board or somewhere else whence many of us came -- ever saw?
I agree with you on this issue. AndyH was/is a good man. He left because he didn't feel he needed to constantly defend his reasons for his opinions and why he accepted other people's opinions without prejudice.

Actually, one thing consistent about the quadster is that he would disagree with me and agree with anyone who disagreed with me. Then he took it to another level. He accused me of being a pedophile.

If you think those of us in the 'clique' drove him off, you haven't been paying attention.

I don't know. Did he agree with your position on those issues?
Andrew D wrote:I do not recall Quaddriver's having done any of those things.
It's quite obvious to me that quad takes your side on issues because most of your opinions are contrary to people he doesn't like (hates).

I don't need to worry about it, but in this forum I'd be suspicious of quad's motive if he supported anything I wrote.

From reading those quotes of Andrew's from his latest post in this thread, there's only one conclusion I can reach...

His drool bucket needs changing....
