I am saying (1) that the "free cash machine" is a scam, (2) that Jim has been hawking it, and (3) that the "free cash machine" is not the only scam which he has been involved with.

Is that clear enough for you?

Is that even intended to be intelligible?

Let whoever runs this board -- who is that anyway? -- say forthrightly that it is okay for me to post information about Jim which will, due to his actions, not mine, include personal information about him.

If that happens -- at least if it happens before even I have become terminally bored with this -- then we will all be able to see what there is to be seen, and we will all be able to draw our own conclusions.

I have not "slither[ed] away" from anything. That is your specialty, not mine.

I have simply never said "Yes, I can prove Lord Jim is a swindler ...."

You wish that I had said so. But I have not.

If you think that you have a meritorious case against me, Jim, bring it.

Stop yammering about it, and just bring it.

You might want to ask your attorney what she thinks of your prospects when this:
Andrew D wrote:--> As far as I know, Little Jimmy has never swindled anyone out of anything.

--> As far as I know, no one has ever been defrauded by Little Jimmy.

--> As far as I know, Little Jimmy has not bilked anyone out of any money.
goes up in front of the jury on a large board.

If you do not recall where to have the process served, let me know; I will remind you.

Bring it on, Jim.

Bring it on.

Yeah, I'll be sure to let my lawyer know that those are the only relevant quotes...

BTW Andrew, apropos of nothing, and on a completely unrelated subject...

I want you to know I have no animosity towards you because of your profession; some of my best friends are attorneys.

Several of them live here in the Bay Area; one of them is a specialist in civil litigation who owes me a favor....

That's certainly clear enough for me...

Do you have anything else you'd care to add?

Please continue posting...

I know a number of folks here are telling you that you should just STFU...

But I say follow your muse...

Maybe we could discuss the matter over dinner.

Come April, my wife's gardens will be their usual spring spectacular.

Just let me know your culinary requirements. Any allergies? Any particular dislikes?

You, your wife (whom I will refrain from naming), me, my wife, our housemate, maybe a few other friends.

No kids, though; our house is not child-safe.

You up for it?

I am.

Which people?

The number of messages which I have received to that effect is exactly zero.

One of the wisteria grows from the south arbor; another from the north. Interwoven in the deck railing, they combine beautifully with the grapes. Other wisteria stand tree-pruned.

One of my favorite roses is a "port wine," allegedly a "nine-foot" climber. We lost track at about eighteen feet.

Plants love my wife. They do things for her which plants rarely accomplish.

(She has a way of making that happen.)

There are some forty other roses.

April and May are the best times for the gardens.

Care to join us for dinner? Or lunch? Or whatever?

Well that's lovely...I come prepared to deal with the psycho Andrew, and he drops the "Classy Bomb"...

I have to admit, I wasn't expecting that...

(I expected him to just double down on asshole, like he always does...)

But instead he behaves in a mature, gracious and civilized way and invites us to his home...

Well, under those circumstances, I have no choice but to be classy right back at him and accept his invitation...

I just have two questions...

Who are you, and what have you done with Andrew D?

This is getting surreal!

Andrew and Jim, am I wrong in thinking that you two have already met in real life?

Something from way back, maybe on the CSB, made me think so. Or am I just confusing people? Not having access to the CSB make investigating such notions so difficult.,

We did in fact meet at a FtF in San Fran about 10 years ago...

Kristina can verify that...

So we'll be seeing you in April (or May)?

Again:
Just let me know your culinary requirements. Any allergies? Any particular dislikes?
By spring, seasonal vegetables will be, well, in season. So it won't be just the comfort food (generally, casseroles) that I favor in winter.

I'm afraid that some time in late May or early June, someone will start a 'Where's Lord Jim?' thread.

Then Andrew will write, 'Maybe I ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice Chianti but I'm not claiming I did and you're only wishing I had said that.'

DON'T GO THERE JIM!!!!!

I have to say, LJ, I find it very strange that you would so readily agree to break bread with someone who has accused you of being involved in a number of scams, absent any retraction or apology.

Your standard for companionship is puzzling to me.

On the contrary, if two can settle their differences over the breaking of bread, I say go for it! :ok

Your collective inability to acknowledge this obvious truth makes you all look like fools.

I don't care for liver.

In general, I don't care for internal organs.

That's because you want the fight to go on.

It entertains you.
