That's an automatic disqualifier.

You should've said you were from Somalia.

I wouldn't mind living there; they have great TV, fish & chips and curries!

Two of the things I miss most from the UK...

Fish & chips and decent curry...

I would rather remember the place as it was in 1965-'66.

As far as curry and fish and chips are concerned, we have that here in the SF Bay Area.

I'd be willing to bet that the chips aren't the same as British fish & chips though Dales... ;)

The only place I've found so far in Oz that does proper chips is a place called Cholmondley Warner's in Brisbane. He had his fryer shipped here from Birmingham! :ok:

11/24. But most of the questions were actually stuff that will help people live their daily lives. Makes a whole lot more sense for a citizenship test than asking someone how many supreme court justices they can name.

They still wrap them in paper Dales but newspaper was outlawed for the purpose many years ago.

Yeah.
What’s the minimum age to buy a scratch lottery ticket in the UK?
Because, you know, they won't tell you that when you show up to but the ticket. But, damn! You sure need to know it, if you want to be a British subject.
Where is the Welsh Assembly based?
What city is the capital of Nebraska?
After age 70, drivers’ licences are issued for how many years at a time?
It is a matter of deep concern that immigrants in their twenties know this.

Really.

It matters.

What percentage of the US's Polynesian restaurants are in Manhattan?

True or False: Your driver's license is issued by the same government agency as is your car registration.

You used to live 45 minutes (according to Mapquest) from great fish & chips! When you were in Fall River, you were exactly 32 miles from Ye Olde English Fish & Chips in Woonsocket, RI. :ok

9/24, and most of the answers I gave were guesses. (On one of the early questions I tried thinking about it for a few seconds and was marked wrong for using too much time.) After I finished my reaction was much the same as Andrew's. It seemed more like a game of Trivial Pursuit than a realistic citizenship test. Why so many random statistics and percentages?
