appropriate for work?
appropriate for work?
Here's the story. There is an engineer that I work with that from the first time I met her something "familiar" was triggered. I could never figure out quite what.
Then today it hit me she looks like a girl I was talking to at a party 20 years ago who despite my best efforts (the first words out of my mouth were "I just threw up") spent quite some time talking to me until my rides GF demanded we go.
Here's the qustion do I ask her about it (especially considering my diminished capacity at the time) or is it even an apropriate subject to broach in a work environment?

Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.

Go for it.

I've thought about it bit, and haven't come up with any reasons not to say something.

Nothing wrong with a friendly chat, as long as there is no ulterior motive.

But I can't say how she may take it.

Actually finding out could inform me if I was being cock-blocked or rescued acually it would only confirm the former and say nothing of the latter.

If it were I...

I can't see anything wrong with asking if she was a friend of "such and such" so many years ago. If she was, then go from there.
