IS it wrong to ask what happened to CSB?
Re: IS it wrong to ask what happened to CSB?
You over estimate your role as cause
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.
Re: IS it wrong to ask what happened to CSB?
Fair doos. Perception is nothing, if not individual.

Bah!

Re: IS it wrong to ask what happened to CSB?
Gee and all this time I thought it was my fault, for objecting vociferously to the editing time change that no one had asked for, which led to the discussion and vote about it, which led to Gwen over ruling the vote and openly making herself the board dictator, and demonstrating conclusively that the only opinions that mattered were her's and her buddies, which brought a crashing end to the brief "Era Of Good Feeling" that had come about when she finally, at long last gave in and agreed to automate the registration process....
You can't have the blame Hen! IT's MINE I TELL YOU! ALL MINE!

Look I was the tipping point you fucking minnows.
I was the one who first wanted to deregister, then tried to get myself banned..
It was me, leader of the; "Let's have Plan B to destroy the CSB" brigade who was responsible.
It was better to kill the CSB than let my arch enemy Edi survive!
Ha! Ha! Ha!!!!!!!!

Ok., Which part of the Hen's missive did you perceive as Not heartfelt and true?
And to which aspect did you assign "ego"?
Honestly? Quad accused me of the same thing. Yet could not explain his position. I'm Curious.
In a nutshell; WTF?

That means that I am focused. And that I do not want any excuses given to the respondent. Heretofore to be regarded as the responder as regards to the aforementioned motion. And probably to be held liable in the fine print such as the respondent has allocated any and all indemnification of the policy forthwith proposed.
Please sign here... Although tis still a bit of a stretch from that to cannibalism. I can probably sue you given the right lawyer.
Just saying.
I love you <Man>!

I think a situation can be reached which will allow the CSB to progress with dignity.Big RR wrote:hen and Guin--do you honestly think things can be "resolved" on the CSB?
G-Man needs to sort things through. That is a given. He is in information overload.
What could happen would be: (Naturally my solution addresses the remaining issue I raised in the "Make CSB Better" thread of G's.
1. Consider archiving all present threads in an accessible forum on the CSB. This will allow for a fresh start. Plan B is evidence that it doesn't take long to fill a vacuum.
2. Have a Call-out forum for when posters make incredulous, unsubstantiated claims about another poster. I have seen a similar Forum on another site and it does tend to keep the feculent crap in a relatively confined space. A call-out is made. A set period of time is given to for the posters concerned (with no monkey-boys) to debate the unsubstantiated claim.
Members can vote at the end of the given period on who was "handed their ASCII ass" or not by a poll: (Win Poster A, Win Poster B, Draw.) The loser in this case, could be given the ignominy of having to wear a pair of flaming shorts under his nick. (Liar, liar. Pants on fire.) It would be an indication to the general membership of which is more likely to be a 'dishonest poster'.
Keep the rest of the CSB as it is. The flaming daks could prove to be the indication that none of us want to wear, so an improvement in such dishonest posting might eventuate. Those would be my thoughts if such a situation ever arose here in any case.
Bah!

Re: IS it wrong to ask what happened to CSB?
Oh ... non-participation in an honest call-out thread would mean automatic burning panties.
Bah!

Re: IS it wrong to ask what happened to CSB?
Actually, anyone who has paid careful attention will realize that it was I, Joe Guy, who destroyed the CSB.
I continually attempted to rip the heart out of the CSB with my references to obtuse Gwenicisms, my spotlighting of quad's fantasy world (and my personal emails to his boss, Tim Geithner) and critiques of editec's paranoid rants.
I was the first to point out out Steve's crumbling thought process long before anyone else noticed. Everyone but Gwen, of course - who jumped to Steve's defense and attempted to justify his erratic behavior before most people realized he was slipping into darkness.
It is ME who single-handedly destroy the CSB.
The rest of you were just OBservers and contributors - but not responsible for the outcome.
At least that's how I see it this minute.
In about 5 minutes I'll probably have a different opinion.

Ahh, but Strop, you're forgetting the way I manipulated all the "weak minded" posters into turning against Gwen and becoming....

"The belief that it's all "my" fault".
All share in part of the blame (some more so than others) but it is feeding ones own ego to say "it was/would've been nothing without me" That place has been on a slow burn for over 3 years. Any number of things fanned the fire or acted as an accelerant at one time or another. So much so that to put primacy on any single person or thing in the Rube Goldberg device that allowed the butterfly to cause the tornado serves only to idolize the one over the butterfly the tornado or even all the other cogs in the mechanism.
Speaking of Ego...
How would you all rate that mixed/mangled Metaphor?

Re: IS it wrong to ask what happened to CSB?
Yah kno....
It's on a knife edge at Plan B. Sure we manage to get topics going here , and some have up to 4 posts in them, yet not once has anyone mentioned the MOTU, or class war, or jobs being exported overseas, by the MOTU, or how the banks are running the place now, and all politicians are all the same, Dems or Repubs, and are evildoers, and how shit and depressing the whole scene is in the USA, (and the rest of the world.)
But can it go on? Plan B is doomed to failing I suppose.

In all seriousness though I wish I would have said something 8 years ago when I first noticed the bricks crumbling on Steve's foundation in reality.

Frankly? The above was my most favorite post of the week. Metaphorically speaking. Mangled or not.
That was some seriously messed up shit dude. Kudos!

However, I like ALL the responses. So lick me where I pee bitches.
I think that your mad skills could be put to better use. Say... Home Land Security and such.
Go ahead, take the test.

Editec was rude to me literally from the moment I joined the board. I had been warned about him and was prepared not to take crap off of him. Ultimately HE was the one who ruined that board through his nastiness and encouraging Steve. My take anyhow.
