If The election Were Held Today....

Post by Lord Jim »

I believe that covers all the possibilities...

I'm leaving the time limit open ended and allowing for folks to change their vote, so it will be sort of like a "daily tracking poll"....

(I suppose we'll have to let the furriners here vote, though that will obviously skew the numbers for Obama 8-) )

Obviously, given the ideological slant here, I expect Obama to win this poll by a landslide; I just don't know how big a landslide...

It will also be interesting to see if the course of the campaign changes any minds...(I suspect that the bottom three categories will have more votes at the outset than nearer election day.)

I think my vote should be obvious.

But seriously folks...

I can only think of four, possibly five votes for Romney on this board...

I'll be somewhat surprised if he winds up with more than that.

Which Romney? Flip Romney or Flop Romney?

My estimate on the number of Romney votes is based on what I've read that people have posted here...

Of course there could be some Romney voters who are in the closet....

My vote? Let's put it this way, I didn't vote for Mitten's in the PlanB Caucus. Using this poll as kind of an exit poll I'm fairly sure the votes are reflective of how the real vote will go in November. By then most voters will be be chanting the mantra, "anything but Romney."

Bristol Palin/Limbaugh... 2016.

If Obama gets too far ahead I might vote for Mitt-Meister on the theory that if its close that egomaniac fool will run again in 2016.

I'm not sure, honestly. I may vote for Obama...because I suspect a Romney presidency would be a disaster. It would almost certainly result in a Democratic House and Senate in 2014, probably a Democrat president in 2016, and possibly a Senate supermajority. I may vote Obama...I may vote Romney, but probably not because I can't stand him...I may write in John Ross...or I may write in Mortimer Snerd.

You should have included an 'Ineligable To Vote' option. I had to pick 'Not Going To Vote', and frankly that stuck on my throat.

Whoops...

I tried to modify the poll to include the option that Hen requested, and apparently I wiped out the results...I'm not sure why that happened, but I guess we're going to have to start over. (Unless one of the Admins here knows how to restore the previous results)

My apologies.

If people are ineligible to vote, they shouldn't be allowed to participate in the poll.

Maybe the poll should ask who you would like to see become president since at least one of us might be living in California and voting illegally in Pennsylvania - and that really should'n't count anymore than a Hen vote.

Well Joe, my feeling is that if our Non-American members want to express a preference as to how they "would" vote were they eligible, that's fine, and if they would prefer to mark themselves as "ineligible to vote" that's fine too...
