Hmmm, you all know I adore the 62-year-old rocker from NJ (I've already seen him once this year, am seeing him again in September, and trying to fit in one of the August shows in Fenway), but his music *isn't* rock anthem" music, it's about story-telling. Yes, it plays well in a big stadium setting, but the music is far more complex than a "rock anthem," which I think of as loud and repetitive with a simple repeating chorus. That is definitely *not* Thunder Road. Born to Run is closer.
And BTW, putting Bruce in the same category as Meatloaf is just wrong.
