I would like a place to post my bloggy scribblings, someplace other than a blog naturally. Over there in the back would be fine, we could set up tables and a mic, and darken the lights so I can't see folks nodding off as well.
All the other good names are taken so, I suggest: The Writer's Bloque!
I haven't written anything, as in my old short stories, for some time, it may inspire me to do so.
I'll leave this open for a while, if there's no objections and I'll set it up.
“If you trust in yourself, and believe in your dreams, and follow your star. . . you'll still get beaten by people who spent their time working hard and learning things and weren't so lazy.”
Zourettes. I would laff (sic) except to me it is more sad than funny. I don't like seeing the English language taken apart in such a disrespectful manner. U no, like text-speak. It is utter crap.
For the record, I never minded the Zs or the other idiosyncracies of Loca's writing style. Like I said before, it's just part of who she is, and you always know it's her talking. She's a good storyteller with a keen eye and rhythmic sense both in language and structure. No need for a corral, maybe just a corrido.
I don't think it bugs anyone but me. That's fine. But it bugs me enough to bring it up. Kind of like having a kid around who lets her bangs hang in her eyes. You can't help reaching over to push the bangs back while tut-tutting.
If no one objects then, say by the time I can be arsed doing it, I'll create a "by our own authors" section in The Arts as a subforum.
That ok?
I may even link to some of my music in there
