Interesting. When challenged, rubato gives an explanation, albeit a brief one, of the connections among sunlight, vitamin D, and dietary supplementation:
People living in a sunny climate who are outdoors a lot make enough vitamin D on their own. As exposure to sunlight decreases the need for dietary supplementation increases.
And according to the National Institutes of Health, rubato is correct:
Sun exposure is an easy, reliable way for most people to get vitamin D. ...

It’s amazing how quickly adequate levels of vitamin D can be restored by sunlight. ...

Nevertheless, vitamin D deficiency is more common than you might expect. People who don’t get enough sun, especially people living in Canada and the northern half of the US, are especially at risk. ...

* * *

Vitamin D supplements may be necessary for older people, people living in northern latitudes, and for dark-skinned people who need extra time in the sun, but don’t get it.
And now no one appears to want to say anything on that subject. Instead of admitting that rubato was right about sunlight, vitamin D, and dietary supplements, people jump on him for something else.

Interesting.

Post it in the right thread, you may get a better response.

This is the thread where he was accusing a group of women, who went for a coffee in a cafe as a protest, as having "excessive affluence".

You've tried to justify the wrong piece of his ugliness.
“If you trust in yourself, and believe in your dreams, and follow your star. . . you'll still get beaten by people who spent their time working hard and learning things and weren't so lazy.”

Just to help you out, here's what he actually said;

rubato wrote:I had thought that most people had heard that there was a connection between sunlight, vitamin D, and dietary supplementation.

Fewer than I had imagined.

The amazing ignorance of the masses is a continual source of wonder.

yrs,
rubato

So, like you I'll ignore the blatant insults from the cretin, and what do we find?

"I had thought that most people had heard that there was a connection between sunlight, vitamin D, and dietary supplementation."

Well no, there isn't.

There is obviously as most (all) here would know, a connection between the level of exposure to sunlight, and individual levels of vitamin d.

There may be , for some, may be a connection between the sunlight they are exposed to, and the need for supplementation. Again, I do not think most here would not have known that.

But his illiterate and unsubstantiated sentence, is just that, meaningless.
“If you trust in yourself, and believe in your dreams, and follow your star. . . you'll still get beaten by people who spent their time working hard and learning things and weren't so lazy.”

Early-onset Alzheimer's, Gob?

In THIS thread, you posted (quoting rubato):
Gob wrote:Oh, still waiting on your explanation of; "the connection between sunlight, vitamin D, and dietary supplementation"?

If you did not want it addressed in this thread, then you should not have brought it up in this thread.

I was referring to the context, and thread, of the original quote.

The reason I raised it here was, yet again, he'd shot himself in the foot, or rather both feet, and was trying to avoid, yet again, admitting it was possible for him to say anything wrong.

It was just a gentle reminder that he’d forgotten to educate us amazingly ignorant masses, which was very unkind of him :D

If It was so painful for you that I had reposted it here, why did you resurrect this thread?

Ok, you did not, if that so pleases you. It's of no great import.

No just someone quoting in one thread from another. It's all very confusing.

So there is no real connection between sunlight, vitamin d and dietary supplementation, really is there?

(1) You first posted that "no," there is not "a connection between sunlight, vitamin D, and dietary supplementation."

(2) You then posted that "yes," there is "a connection between sunlight, vitamin D, and dietary supplementation."

(3) Yes, it pleases me to be in accord with reality. It would probably please you as well.

(4) Yes, there is "someone quoting in one thread from another." You. I have been quoting things posted in this thread (and external matter).

(5) Now, evidently realizing that rubato was correct all along, you are just being deliberately obtuse.

No I did not.

Is what I said. Not my fault you selectively quote me, you naughty boy.

Don't wait for me, you go ahead and take whatever medication you need to get in accord with reality.

Only when you have either taken them out of context or selectively quoted them, again you are a naughty boy!

Rubato was quite wrong, and you'll have to forgive me if I enjoy winding up humourless pedants. (Although I must say the retard seems to fare a great deal better than you on the humour front. Practice man, practice!)

QED Indeed. If you change the sentence structure, and add in information, then "a connection between [sic, among] sunlight, vitamin D, and dietary supplementation, " can be made. Without the changes and extra information, no connection is made.

Hoy shit Andrew, I know I asked you to practice your humour, but have the decency to do it in private eh? That sucks so hard it's almost good. But we'd be laughing at you, not with you.

Now it's time for your beddy-byes. It will all seem so unimportant in the morning.
