The perfect anti-endorsement
Re: The perfect anti-endorsement
By no means rube...I thought Mitty had the mean and stupid vote locked up tight?
He still hasn't managed to pull in your endorsement...
So long as he hasn't gotten your vote, he's still at least one short in that department...
What does he need to do to win you over? Would it help if he said that he believes that the defining characteristic of "affluence" is free time?

Re: The perfect anti-endorsement
Regardless of the source, the point is valid.
OBP has never accomplished anything that was not political in nature.
If we experienced something akin to the Cuban Missile Crisis, I think he would hyperventilate and faint.

Interesting you raise the Cuban Missile Crisis; what position did JFK hold that was not political (face it, his father got his naval position). Some people who perform political tasks rise to the occasion, like JFK did here (and apparently in WW2) and some who have a lot of "nonpolitical"/commercial experience do not (look at Donald Trump). Obama may not be a JFK, but he's no Trump.

GAH!
Re: The perfect anti-endorsement
Obviously, there have been political and business leaders throughout history who have proven to be much greater than their "resumes" would have predicted, and vice versa.
OBP's resume is singularly lacking in anything that would even hint at "leadership," initiative, creativity, or a willingness to assume responsibility. On the contrary, he has the typical bureacrat's fear of hard commitments and unwillingness to accept responsibility for anything he does. And this should not be surprising; it is reflected in his record as a state senatory in Illinois.

Re: The perfect anti-endorsement
Someone with a fear of hard commitments or an unwillingness to accept responsibility wouldn't have authorized a strike against a supposedly friendly nation in order to capture or kill a terrorist leader.
Re: The perfect anti-endorsement
Go back and re-read that thread. OBP preemptively laid the entire responsibility (in case anything went wrong) on the field commander.
It's much too soon to rewrite this history. Memory is still fresh.

The ultimate authority in the military chain of command is the President of the United States. He gave the order, it was his responsibility.
And I'm curious as to why you can't even write his name any more. Do the letters arranged as 'President Obama' cause you such physical discomfort now that you must reduce him to three letters?
