It seems to me that he's not trying to berate anybody; what he is doing (attempting to do anyway, perhaps the execution is somewhat inartful) is to be satirical....
I believe most of his posts in this thread have been intended not as reflections of his own views, but as parody of what he sees as some standard views held by many liberals. Such as, George W Bush doesn't deserve the respect of being referred to as a person, he should be scorned by being called "shrub", and Elton John should be considered a "traitor" (to the liberal camp) for praising him.
I frequently do not agree with lib, and even more frequently have difficulty discerning where he's coming from, (I'm still trying to process that whole "let's make Guatemala a state thing") but it seems to me that when it comes to being personally insulting or obnoxious towards other posters, he's way down the list on those criteria. It appears to me that he receives a lot more on that score than he gives, and he seems to take it pretty good-naturedly.
Jim, I have always considered you smart, but now I am starting to think that you might be some kind of genius; at least you have outstanding perception. You can see things that others can’t; you nailed it. I was just having fun with my liberal friends by pointing out their foibles; they frequently lack objectivity. I was trying not to be too obvious.
And, I am not a fan of GW he was just a employee; he did his job and got his reward. But he is not a moron; I suspect he is of average intelligence or little better and was lazy in college.
Soon, I’ll post my farewell message. The end is starting to get close. There are many misconceptions about me, and before I go, to live with my ancestors on the steppes, I want to set the record straight.

Oh please.... Jim doesn't... Err.... we don't need to read that.
He already has a high enough opinion of himself. His head can barely fit through a doorway as it is....
Well, I'm guessing that your opinion is affected by how well you relate to cats.
For the record, I like cats. I had one in college, and currently we have two of them, one of whom spends a lot of time sitting on my desk, and the other of whom spends a lot of time lying on our bed.
I also like dogs, (we have three of those) and parrots, (we have one of those) and most other animals....
My rule about animals is pretty much the same as my rule about people....

Are you sure you are not British Jim? That is a masterpiece of understatement.
“If you trust in yourself, and believe in your dreams, and follow your star. . . you'll still get beaten by people who spent their time working hard and learning things and weren't so lazy.”
