It seems to me, that like so many other similar "quizzes" we've seen like this, the analysis is very heavily weighted towards giving a result that is designed to make the person think that they are a "Libertarian"....

I'm sure that a lot my answers were very different from Dale's, (particularly regarding national defense and international involvement in general)

And yet we both come up as "Libertarians"...

I expect this 'quiz" was probably put together by a Libertarian organization.

I'm sure like every "best political quiz in the world ever" crap, it's i very heavily weighted towards giving a result that is designed to make the person think that they are a "American"

You mean like the way those BBC Quizzes that some joker around here keeps posting are heavily weighted to be easier for people who grew up in towns with names like Stoke-on-Trent ? :nana

Well Jim almost half the questions start with "Should the government"...
Sometimes it seems as though one has to cross the line just to figger out where it is

How could this question be answered yes?
Should the government financially assist corporations under any circumstances?
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.

I wrote to them and called them a bunch of parochial arseholes, I wonder if I'll get a reply?

I wonder if they know what "parochial" means and how it applies.

I answered it yes....(any circumstances?)

I also answered this one yes:
Should the government implement public works programs?
(I support infrastructure spending)

Answered these yes and marked them critical:
Should more money be invested in the military?
Should the government currently have military involvement in the Middle East?
Should the government expand offshore drilling?
Gave a yes to the public health option, and a maybe on additional firearms restrictions.....

And got labeled a "Libertarian".... :shrug :loon

It depends on what your definition of "is" is.

Soon, I’ll post my farewell message. The end is starting to get close. There are many misconceptions about me, and before I go, to live with my ancestors on the steppes, I want to set the record straight.

Should the government financially assist corporations under any circumstances?

It's poorly worded. It should read either:

Are there any circumstances under which the government should financially assist corporations?

or

Are there any circumstances under which the government should not financially assist corporations?

You'll probably get the same response you get every year when you write the Baseball Commissioner bitching about the phrase, "World Series".... 8-)
