(And a lot of my answers were "maybe"!)

Not by a longshot, Econoline:

This dumb quiz has me listed as both a "liberal" and "97% Democrat," charges that I categorically reject. While I might agree with liberals and Democrats on certain issues, I am a deep red Socialist.

Gee Sue, with your rating, instead of a star in the middle of that chart, it seems to me a hammer and sickle should appear....

Good on you, Sue! And I'm relieved to know that someone here is on my left! I didn't feel like the answers I gave were all that extremely liberal (like I said, there were a lot of maybes in there)...and in many of the IRL social circles in which I find myself, I'm often the person furthest to the right.

Re: Take The Political Quiz
It said I was a Democrat.
Too much ambiguity (or maybe I was reading too much into the questions).
For example, "Should more money be invested into alternative sources of energy?"
Of course the answer is "Yes," but the real question is whether THE GOVERNMENT ought to be spending taxpayer money on this - to which the answer is "No."

Well, in Hyde Park anyway--though of course the U of C has a notable contingent of economic conservatives. And a lot of the real lefties I know (including some former Communists) are in Michigan.Sue U wrote:So what they say about Chicago is true!Econoline wrote:in many of the IRL social circles in which I find myself, I'm often the person furthest to the right.

There are too few questions and they are not well crafted to determine general questions like "are you a capitalist".
I am not and have never been a member of the Democratic Party but I tend to vote that way because the alternative is morally loathsome and anti-scientific (with the exceptions of Tom Campbell and Bruce McPherson).

This is about the other end of the range for me. If I re-take it I go from this to 87%.

Well, it's a nice alternative to a pie chart.

Not sure how I arrived here, but it is reasonably accurate. I think it just said I am Canadian!!!
Personally, I don’t believe in bros before hoes, or hoes before bros. There needs to be a balance. A homie-hoe-stasis, if you will.
