I was robbed!

Post by SisterMaryFellatio »

I needed 4 new tyres for my car. I drive a little fiesta. Not some monster truck or posh suv. 700 bucks, seven fuckin hundred bucks!! That was the cheapest quote!! I enquired why these little tiny tyres were so expensive and was told you drive a European car....it's a fuckin ford, not a fuckin Rolls Royce!! Also told they are low profiles...doesn't that mean less rubber is used??? Rubber is not gold!! rubber is not an expensive commodity so 700 bucks for 4 bits of rubber I am feeling robbed!!

Fuck me I hate paying for servicing petrol tyres rego etc etc. paid enough in the first place so why the hell Are the refills not free?

While I am on he rant and getting things off my chest I also hate paying for electric, I can't see it so why should I pay for it? Also everything else we pay for that needs electricity we have paid for once!! Phones, any sort it.It should be free to keep in touch with loved ones and friends why should someone make a quid or 2 when I want to be nice and call someone.

Internet...we no longer have encyclopaedia Britannia so we need google and I need eBay and amazon!!

That is all.

I am totally with you, SMF....

I've been arguing the same thing for years....

Electric bills, water bills, phone bills, cable bills....the list goes on and on and on....

No matter how many times I pay these sons of bitches, they just keep sending me more bills!!! :arg

How do they get way with this? They're bloody stalkers...

And don't even get me started on the whole gas racket....

When you buy a car, you pay bloody well enough in the first place, that the damn thing should just go...

What's with this having to spend thousands of dollars on top of that, just to keep it moving?

This has to stop....

Yer right you can't see it, so they charge you so you don't see the dark.

The rest is storage fees, they just lump it all together...

I tried it on with the leccy company once. I told them that they weren't actually providing me with electricity as I already had all the electrons I could ever need. All they were doing was jiggling them about a bit.

Needless to say, it didn't get me a discount...

I usually buy high-performance tires for both cars since we commute over a mountain road notorious for fatal accidents in all kinds of weather and they usually cost about $650-750 for the set not including alignment. For our driving tires are important and cheap safety equipment. So, no I don't think that's a lot to pay for tires. The difference between good tires and cheap tires is large and involves great pain.

The cheapest tires for small cars around here run about $55-65.00 each or $260 for 4. If you buy cheap tires I hope you drive slow in the RH lane, always.

That would be a very stupid thing to do?

No, I recommended it because cheap tires have crappy traction, (esp in rain) and you should drive slowly and in the right line as a result.

You seem to have trouble with very simple cause and effect situations. Sorry about that. Your problem though.

You seem to have problems comprehending that we drive on the left in Australia.

Anyone driving "slow in the RH lane,"[sic] would be a danger to themselves and to other vehicles.

You silly boy!

Tires aren't something to fuck around with that said I can't see the price (even though they're much more than just rubber) Round here you can get good tires for most vehicles for about $100 per. Buying "high performance" isn't worth it unless you plan on racing or a lot of high speed cornering especially since you're spending money on rubber that will wear out much faster. However, by the same token your "ultra high mileage" tires aren't going to serve you as well either. 50-75k (miles) is about all you should expect out of your everyday a-ll weather tire.

Re-treads or used? it's your life but I wouldn't risk it.
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.

People don’t buy cars for transportation, but to feel sexy. No one likes my parts standardization scheme even though it would reduce the price of parts by the use economy of scale. The high price of parts makes people feel worthy and gives them something to brag about when they have to sell one of the kids to repair the car.

Just think what ten dollars a gallon gas would do for people‘s egos, tell BO to raise the price of gas again.
I expected to be placed in an air force combat position such as security police, forward air control, pararescue or E.O.D. I would have liked dog handler. I had heard about the dog Nemo and was highly impressed. “SFB” is sad I didn’t end up in E.O.D.
